Snoop's Take

The SUPER YOUNGSTER Adjustable Inline Skates are designed for children aged 4-12, providing a fun and safe way for young skaters to learn and explore skating. Featuring light-up wheels and a supportive design, these skates aim to offer comfort and safety for beginners. Consumer feedback highlights the skates as a good entry-level option, with many users noting, "Probably a good pair to start out - they aren't super floppy and should have enough support for a young kid to learn the basics." However, some concerns have been raised regarding the durability, as comments like "there are plenty of people having the ripped heel problem" indicate potential quality issues that may affect long-term use. Overall, while the SUPER YOUNGSTER skates are recommended for novice skaters and offer great features for their price point, potential buyers should be aware of the mixed reviews regarding their durability and consider this when making a purchase decision.

Good support for beginner skaters
Would these be decent skate for a child that’s beginning to learn figure skating? (Help a clueless parent out)
Probably a good pair to start out - they aren't super floppy and should have enough support for a young kid to learn the basics.
Mine are voltage green, one of the "reinforced" colors... And let me tell you, they are NOT reinforced.
Affordable option for children learning to skate
Aww, I'm sorry you ended up with the impala ripped heels :( are you able to work with where you got them?
I wish I had gotten the candi girls instead but I haven’t seen any damage yet but I am not an intense skater or haven’t been going out as much.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
May require upgrading for advanced skills

Flimsy construction on some brands
It feels like very flimsy cheap plastic, and the 2 mounting points for the blades don't feel sturdy at all.
Quality issues with materials
On this sub alone there was more than 2 people who showed pics and talked about the heel ripping?
Well, I emailed Impala five days ago and haven't heard! I anticipated them not lasting the LONGEST but bro... Two weeks?
I'd recommend reinforcing the heel with some clear glue pre-emptively.
Ripped heel concerns
If mine disintegrated after TWO WEEKS then there are plenty of people having the ripped heel problem
There has been a few posts on manufacturing defects even on the moxis skates.

No one else is selling neon green skates or rose gold skates.
It’s probably just that Impala does a better job of advertising.

Discussion on affordability of skates vs. quality
Overall, with skates you get what you pay for. I can assure you it's never worth being cheap.
OR you could pay what you can afford, take good care of them and still be happy.
I agree that the around $200 dollars is where you get good skates, but I also think the $100 dollar skates are good to see if you even like skating in the first place.
It would have cost less, overall, if I’d bought nice boots up front.
K2's prevalence in stores limits choices for skaters
K2 still makes comfy fitness skates which are very good for anyone new to the sport.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion on reliability of various skate brands
That Pacer does not look very good... Unknown and therefore unreliable brand.
Pacer brand quad skates are also low quality but fine for 80lb kids.
Discussion on the perceived quality of different skate brands
Help choosing the best kids skates So I'm looking at these 3 options . I'm not sure about the microblades bc or the soft boot which I think is too soft ( and I feel it's kinda narrow )
RB microblade you can’t go wrong
I dont like the super soft boot though and the wheels dont seem to great
Two months ago I bought my son microblade. It's good quality and the wheels can be upgraded to 80mm.
Concerns about manufacturing defects during COVID-19
Lockdown/stay at home due to covid in China started in February till March so alot of the materials needed to make skates were not being manufactured or shipped to other countries.
