Valken is my local field paint. I really like the grafitti.

Positive Feedback

Amazon would be almost my last choice, they don't know how to store, pack, or ship paint, so you have the highest chance of getting some shitty paint.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Graffiti paint performs well
Valken is my local field paint. I really like the grafitti.
I have only had good luck with Graffiti.
Played last tourney with redemption and loved it.
It's my favorite paint. I shoot it as often as I can.
Redemption paint accuracy is better than Premium
Great shell, shoots better than premium for accuracy.
Reliable shell consistency
The shell is consistent, but it can be a little too thick for some.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Amazon is not reliable for purchasing paintballs
Amazon would be almost my last choice, they don't know how to store, pack, or ship paint, so you have the highest chance of getting some shitty paint.
Amazon is an awful source for paint. They have no clue how to properly store, handle, or ship it, and they don't care enough to get a clue.
Quality and consistency varies between batches
I don't put that much stock in particular brands or grades of paint.
Pretty valid points right there.
25% tariffs on Canada, where the majority of paintballs used in the US are made, could have a large impact on the sport.
My home field generally allows BYOP, but bans Infinity and Monster for being too damned hard.
Empire Premium paint experiences reported as terrible
I've only shot Empire Premium a handful of times but all of them have been terrible experiences.
Graffiti shell can be too thick
Graffiti just seems to be harder even when it's fresh.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
General discussion on paintball brands and experiences
I wasn’t upset with how they shot. I just needed something in a pinch and they worked for that
There is no one best brand of paint, as freshness and local have massive impact on how well something shoots.
Pretty decent practice paint and I get it for about $30 a case most of the time.
Most of the fields around me sell GI. I shoot 4 star, 5 star, Dynasty, and Evil pretty interchangeably.
Discussion on the quality of padded shirts
Honestly I sell both the valken and gen x padded shirts and the gen x one is cheaper and better quality with thicker padding.
Valken's paint sourced from Think Big in South Korea
Valken's overseas stuff comes from Think Big in S. Korea.
Can confirm Valken stuff being made in S Korea.
Discussion on Valken Proton reliability
I see a valken proton for a good price so I was wondering if it’s good
Hit or miss, my wife had a good one, other... not so much.
Discussion on paintball field quality
It's a beautiful field. They spend money to take care of the grass.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Preference for backyard shooting with cheap paint
it’s great for backyard shooting.
Most fields have outright banned Triumph paintballs because they're oil based.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Buying paintballs in person is preferred
Ideally buying paint in person from a shop or field that gets its supply directly from a distributor or manufacturer.
I've had a lot of fun so far, the game is pretty realistic even though it's a playtest.
Price of paintballs online varies
$43 sounds about standard for mid grade paint
Preference for local field paint over online purchases
What’re y’all’s preferences for practice and/or premium paints for play?
I’ve discovered my marker’s favorite is GI 5 Star and America United.
Curiosity about the product's purpose and quality
If this is a worst crappy field paint quality I'd buy some.
Discussion about various paintball brands
Anyone heard of Valken Tango Paintballs? They are the "field grade" brand used at the field i play at, but other than the valken website which has a quick description, i cant find anything on them.
Tango is a smaller and lighter paintball at an average .668" diameter and 3.05 grams, but more consistently sized than the more expensive options in my tests.
Local field paint preference
The only drawback is you have to buy their paint.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about eye protection ratings in paintball gear
Dang, good work! I can't find anything about the eyepro being rated though?
Discussion about the history of paint brands
APX made excellent paint, but they had a terrible distribution system.
Goodness gracious bro sounds like you were there for the whole thing.
Back in the day a lot of seconds were also just switch over when they changed colors.
Apx was great until they sold the company to Valken.
Discussion about oil-based paintballs and their impact
Heads up for OP - oil paint kills soil and can permanently stain absorbent surfaces, like wood.
Oil based. Draxxus inferno is roughly similar price.
Curiosity about brand history and production
It's a newer paintball made is Mexico. It shoots fine.
