Discussion about different brands and types of paintballs
Pretty valid points right there. I’ll definitely be using what the field offers, but I’m just curious if anyone has had any really good and/or bad luck with certain paints when tinkering at home.
Yeah I picked up 500 of those ZAP balls for $13 and wasn’t upset with how they shot.
I’ve discovered my marker’s favorite is GI 5 Star and America United. Runner up is Empire Evil.
I let it fly with Defy most of the time here in SoCal. Pretty decent practice paint and I get it for about $30 a case most of the time.

Discussion about low impact paintball for kids
Instead of 50 cal, just start with gel blasters. Way cheaper investment, and you can also do it in your backyard vs going to a field.
I took my similarly aged kids and four of their friends to a local indoor that does low impact for parties. .50 cal is amazing for this age group.
I've seen kids as young as 6 years old playing on a normal walk-on recreational field, with the full velocity .68cal markers.

Cautionary Callouts

Desire for a consistent paintball video game
New paintball video game
God I just want one paintball game to mildly take off where I can play it consistently… like just 100-200 concurrent players and I’d be happy.
Won’t have to wait long! People are hungry for this.
I hope you’re right. I’ve been hearing that for over a decade. While some attempts have been great like snapshot VR, I sadly don’t own a VR headset.
Mention of past successful paintball games
OG Greg Hastings servers were packed. So good.
DPB was the peak of paintball gaming in the early mid 2000s. I got into this beta and it is pretty clunky.
Scam warning about paintball vouchers
No warning. No proper disclosure. Just manipulation.
The paintball stall is geniunely a great tutorial for students to say no to the collection of weirdos that stalk the campus
It shouldn’t be profitable for for a paintball company to pay someone to sit in the city all day for him to generate enough sales leads and for them to actually pay and then the profit from the sale covers the sales guy, with some left over.
