Snoop's Take

The K&F Concept Lens Filter Pouch is a specialized case designed to hold up to three lens filters ranging from 62mm to 82mm. This lightweight, water-resistant pouch provides excellent protection for your filters while ensuring they remain easily accessible during shoots. Consumer feedback highlights the decent quality of K&F products for the price, with many users stating, "they work remarkably well for the price." However, some users have noted issues such as color cast problems with certain filters and a decrease in sharpness, particularly with the Nano-X ND filters. Despite these concerns, the overall sentiment remains positive, especially regarding the pouch’s functionality and durability. Considering the feedback from users, the K&F Concept Lens Filter Pouch is recommended for photographers seeking an affordable and practical solution to protect their lens filters while on the go.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Effective performance of the CPL filter
I can definitely say it works and never been stuck on my lens.
Decent quality for the price
I bought a tripod off them, found it decent for the cost.
K&F filters work well for specific applications
K&F concepts work well. The ND I have has a slight color cast, but it’s very uniform and a non-issue when shooting raw.
Good magnetic strength of K&F filters
I feel like their magnetic strength is good enough for my use.
K&F filters work remarkably well for the price
Received and worked as advertised
I think they work remarkably well for the price
they work well, very high quality
K&F offers fair pricing and discount codes
K&F doesnt seem to do that, their prices are always pretty fair and they always have discount codes.
Good quality for the price
I have a tripod from K&F and also all my ND Filter, Polarizer and Mist Filter. I've never been disappointed by the quality and price especially as hobby photographer I don't think you can go wrong with them.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
K&F filters may decrease sharpness
Actually laughed out loud at the idea of K&F products adding sharpness.
Color cast issues with VND filter
The Color Cast is absolutely awful it goes from yellow to purple when u adjust it.
Nano-X ND4 and ND8 filters are unsharp
Nano-X ND4 and ND8 filters tend to be a bit unsharp, most noticeable at focal lengths above 85mm where as I would consider everything between 135mm and 200mm shot with these two unusable.
VNDs and CPLs are considered terrible
Their 100mm square NDs are surprisingly not bad, the VNDs and CPLs are terrible.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
K&F filters are budget-friendly for amateurs
I'm good with it—I'm just an amateur anyway, not a professional by any means.
Discussion on the value of filters for lens protection
I’ve heard the general wisdom that UV filters are good at a minimum for lens protection as breaking a $15 filter is a lot better than something hitting a multi-hundred dollar lens.
A glass filter isn't protecting from bumps. The only protection a glass filter gives is in windy with sand or salt spray environments.
Filters break very easily, but I have yet to damage the front element of a lens, even when dropping it etc.
I've seen front element damage several times, and filter ring dents from drops on tons of lenses.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Preference for subtle effects with mist filters
the effect is quite subtle. However, as the effect is not too strong the 1/8 mist filter is now my always on filter on the ZF + Voigtlander 50, as it works super well with this type of lense
I personally like the more subtle effect of 1/8, but again it depends on you.
Alternative options for achieving effects with filters
I ultimately went with black satin, not mist. It offers the same fine detail reduction, but less halation bloom.
Discussion on DIY filter case improvements
The setup remains compact and ready for action.
Making a case for them to fit directly is a great idea.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
The subjective value of filter protection
During hiking, I had my camera out, and a branch snapped back in a weird way, and directly onto the lens.
Preference for buying through retailers rather than directly from K&F
your experience just furthers my opinion to only buy through a retailer/vendor rather than the brand itself.
Discussion on pricing of photography accessories
Cheaper brands like K&F/Neewer etc make quality gear for good prices, usually made in the exact same factories that produce the expensive brand gear.
K&F filters are well-priced and well-reviewed on Amazon.
They're well priced and well-reviewed on Amazon; just wanted to get some real feedback.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
CPL filters can fight glare under certain conditions
CPL is great for fighting glare. Do keep in mind that for a CPL filter to work, your light source needs to be polarized.
Polarising filters have limitations
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure a polarising filter (CPL) does nothing for glare and reflections from metal.
Concerns about vignetting with step-up rings
The filter has a VERY narrow knurled ring that you're supposed to grip to remove it, beside the wider, also knurled ring that is used to adjust the polarizer.
VND filters are generally viewed as problematic
VND is generally a bad idea.
Avoiding VND filters due to dark cross issue
I'm avoiding gettin a VND, because they tend to have the dark cross issue.
