Compact design for easy use
I like how compact the camera is without the adapter but I also like the extra peace of mind re: dust and ability to use other lens filters with the adapter yet still it would be great to pop the adapter off and have the jjc already there for the times I want the small size more
I use the JJC stick on filter and sometimes the nisi adapter on my IIIx when I want to use a black mist filter. I have had no known issues with using both when it comes it image quality that I can tell.
Compatible with lens adapters
This would not have been my first choice, but now that it is there, I would like to keep it.
The JJC protective filter comes with some fishing wire and little handles that can be used to remove it.
Filter works well without damaging the camera
Thoughts on JJC stick on filter? Just got my GRIIIx today and installed some accessories like thumb grip and screen protector.
works great, doesn't damage the camera at all, just make sure the camera is off (lens retracted) if/when you remove it and remove it with the provided string/floss.
No issues reported with filter performance
it is on mine. Put it on, never gave it a 2nd thought. Just seems to work fine.
Excellent quality and fit of lens cap
The quality is excellent for the price (it's metal and similar to a Leica and Fuji X100 one).
Compact design that minimizes bulk
I like GC-12. A bit expensive but it fits like a glove, doesn't bring too much bulk and folds flat when not in use.
I just use the GC-12 case. It doesn’t add too much bulk, and (I hope) it keeps lint from my pockets out of the holes.
Fits nicely. Inside is nicely covered with a soft fabric and it has a little pouch inside for a extra sd card.

JJC UV filter can damage lens
Anything else I need to protect the camera while shooting? Or is it even necessary (especially UV protective filter)?
Do not buy JJC UV that sticks onto the lens itself. I’ve seen a bunch of photos where it messed up the lens if people try to remove it.

I’ve seen people asking how to remove the JJC filter without damaging the camera.
I removed it to prepare for the next set up I have for the Gr III in an upcoming video I am going to make soon.

Discussion about must-have accessories for photography
Must-have, day one accessories for a GR IIIx? Thrilled to have a IIIx on order, hopefully arriving in about a month.
I think just an LCD screen protector and a wrist strap. If you wanna stretch it, a nice carrying case to prevent scratches and dust while you’re carrying it in your shoulder bag or backpack.
Discussion about polarizing filters and their uses
Using Polarizing Filters involves a slower, more thoughtful approach that considers many more variables.

Discussion about alternatives to lens caps
Basically looking for the simplest way to add some protection without weight or bulk.
I've tried them all, this works great. I didn't want to 'glue' anything to my camera, but after trying everything, I decided to take the leap.

I tested and compared them with the JJC stick-on UV filter to save everyone some money.
Discussion about filter adaptors and their compatibility
Thanks! For the screw on filter adaptor, is this the right one?
This adaptor makes it so you can use any 49mm lens filter/attachment. I just got a 1/8 black pro mist filter and enjoy the effect a bunch.

Mention of Polar Pro filters as a good option
Polar Pro is having a sale right now. They’re at the top of your budget, but they’re very good filters!

Cautionary Callouts

Discussion about variable ND filters
Any thoughts? My only other concern is I normally use a lens hood and that doesn't seem compatible with many of these.
I just know that for the price, you're getting a filter that beats out the more expensive ones.
Thank you for your help! This is definitely my top choice right now.
I am yet to see anyone dissatisfied with it, so it's tempting
