What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Great performance in wet conditions
they did a great job.
Great quality for the price
I have owned Rudy’s, Oakleys, and numerous others, and have no problem recommending these glasses
What are you wearing out? For sunny days and what about evening rides that can get a little dark on the way home?
I just love the Oakley Sutro lite
At $25 the Gs are practically disposable but have decent optics, polarized and UV protection.
Includes multiple lenses for various conditions
Found a great deal on them and really happy with how they fit.
Looking for suggestions on a good pair of cycling-specific sunglasses that aren't outrageously expensive.
Is it purely the brand name and veneer around the glasses that makes them more expensive or is there some big quality difference that makes them worth it?
Lightweight design enhances comfort
Get anything with the “prizm road” lens. They work well in low light (morning and dusk) as well as during the day. I currently have the Radar EV Path, but have considered the Sutro light sweep.
Any of the high end companies (Oakley , Roka, Smith, Nike...etc) have glasses that fit your lightweight needs. But they ain't goodr cheap.

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion about the design of safety glasses and its impact on comfort
It gets to the point where it hinders my performance on the job.
I’ve actually seen eye pro specifically designed for hard hats. But yeah I’ve dealt with the headaches before. It sucks.
That's a good suggestion, flat sides. I'll look into that.
Could you rig up something like Ombraz? I've never used em, but it doesn't look like there'd be much pressure using them.

Discussion about prescription cycling glasses
Up until now, I used my normal prescription sunglasses and they do the job, but I’d like to get something more sporty.
Roka does prescription glasses built into the main lens. They work well.
Yeah I have contacts just for sports. I’m a heavy sweater and I’ve had times where my lenses are jus
Discussion about quality comparisons with higher-end brands
Tifosi has a couple great models for under $100
Otherwise if OEM lenses fit into the frames, could be a good option to have multiple colors/replace broken frames.
General discussion on the value of cheaper sunglasses
Oakley and 100p don’t use some sort of Christ-anointed process to make their lenses.
More like 50 dollars isn't a big deal for me and I much prefer the optical performance of the lens.
Discussion on investment in cycling glasses
I have recently began going on longer rides and have found myself either squinting with one eye open while going at any reasonable speed, having a bug fly in my eye or a stone getting very close to my eyes and have decided to invest in some cycling glasses.
Can recommend Tifosi glasses, reasonably priced and solid quality.
+1 - and they sell replacement parts for their glasses at very reasonable prices.
I’ve used Tifosi’s for 10+ years now. I still have my 2nd pair as a backup even though it’s 7+ years old and still going strong.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about safety and shatterproof lenses
I have crashed face first into the pavement at 30km/hr, my jawbreakers got a huge scratch but didn't break, the frame cut me below my eye instead.
