Snoop's Take

The GradCap 20pcs Tyre Repair Kit is designed to offer an efficient solution for repairing punctured tires without the need for a professional service. This kit includes a variety of rubber nails and a screwdriver, making it easy to perform repairs on cars, motorcycles, and more, directly on the go. Consumers have highlighted the kit’s effectiveness in emergencies, with many praising its convenience and ease of use. One user noted, "Crisis averted for just $12. Good job!" while another shared, "It has saved my butt more than a few times." However, some feedback also pointed out the potential for tools to snap during use and questions regarding the kit's effectiveness for more serious repairs. Overall, while the GradCap Tyre Repair Kit is lauded for its convenience and emergency utility, potential buyers should weigh its limitations in durability and effectiveness against their specific needs. It is recommended for those seeking a quick fix but may not suffice for long-term tire repair solutions.

Despite its age and low quality, it did the job, plugs were still very sticky, and the cement was still good.

Positive Feedback

Good to hear some positive reviews on this. I’ve read a couple here recently that showed the tools snapping mid fix.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Effective for on-the-go repairs
Despite its age and low quality, it did the job, plugs were still very sticky, and the cement was still good.
I’ve used quite a few of these on the trails with great success, I keep two of the kits in our recovery kit and one in each of our vehicles.
It worked and got me back in the road to the tire shop.
Crisis averted for $12. I have a spare donut tire, but it probably wouldn't do well on the road I was driving on.
Convenient to carry in vehicles
I always have a razor doing that job now.
Durable materials used in the kit
Aside from my milwaukee impact driver pretty much every tool I use to fix this truck is from harbor freight (impact sockets, wreches, etc)
Easy to use without removing the tire
Using all that sealant is terrible. It gets built up around your wheel and sucks to deal with when changing a tire.
Saved some users in emergencies
Saved me that one time I got a flat. So not completely useless.
It's intended to get you able to drive just long enough to get somewhere safe or to a tire shop to get a replacement tire.

Tools may snap during use
Good to hear some positive reviews on this. I’ve read a couple here recently that showed the tools snapping mid fix.
Ineffective for actual tire repair
Managed to limp it after filling up three times with air to Firestone, where they informed me that you can’t patch a tire that’s had fix a flat or whatever in it.
It's... Not a tire repair kit
Everyone should toss that thing out and spend $20 on one of these: https://www.harborfreight.com/heavy-duty-automotive-tire-repair-kit-58593.html

Comparison to other brands
The metal handles made the difference.
It's no better or worse than using an off the shelf option.
Discussion about the importance of carrying a repair kit
All good. When the bump went away, whew, I thought to myself - must have been a rock.
My Y did this and I was lucky to be 1/4 mile from a discount tire, no plug kit but I did have a compressor.
Yes, carry AT LEAST a compressor, even if you’re not comfortable with a fix a flat kit.
Should keep some cheap yard work gloves with the plug kit as well.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Experiences with tire repair mishaps
Old school plugs are a time-tested awesome repair kit to have.
Reasoning being that you never know how long or far you'll be driving before you can get it repaired.
General experiences with tire repair
What is that thing get like a quarter mile to 12 gallons I wouldn't care I'd still drive it it's awesome
The ARB kit seems like a no-brainer, but I'm honestly liking the contents (and case) of the Smittybilt kit.
The ARB kit is in all my vehicles because more often then not I’m too lazy to put on a spare.
I keep a cheap Slime kit in my car. I also have a 10 year old Safety Seal kit similar to the ARB but I keep it at home.
