This kit includes 30 tire patches in various sizes, along with essential tools such as a patch roller, buffing wheel, and liner scraper, making it suitable for both minor and moderate tire damage repair tasks. Consumer sentiment reflects a generally positive experience with the Anglekai kit, highlighting its effectiveness in tire repairs. Users appreciate that the patches provide a more permanent fix than plugs, with one stating, "A patch is a more permanent, stronger fix." However, some caution that the success rate is not guaranteed, as one user noted, "their success rate is not 100%" due to factors like improper application or location of the damage. Overall, the Anglekai Tire Patch Roller Kit is recommended for those seeking a reliable tire repair solution. While there are some concerns about patch longevity in specific situations, the majority of feedback indicates that the product performs well when used correctly, making it a valuable addition to any car maintenance toolkit.

They say it’s not 100% but I’ve used these plenty of times and they have worked 100% of the time for me

Positive Feedback

Well.. their success rate is not 100%, but that puncture is about as good as it gets for being repairable.

Works effectively for tire repairs

Is a tire plug a permanent fix!? Ok in another post there was a discussion on whether a tire plug was a permanent fix for a punctured tire, Some said it was and some say it isn't I figured we'd let democracy decide.
It’s permanent until it’s not.
I've seen tons of posts asking, so here's the repairable zone. If it's outside this zone it can't be patched professionally
Effective for tire repairs
Is it safe to drive on a long 800mi round trip? Like the title says, I’m going on a road trip from LA to Vegas and back.
As some one who did over 10 years in the Tire Center at Costco this is definitely not recommended.
Good adhesion and sealing
But if youre talking about the kind that are a rubber "tube" with a flat patch connected to it, where you remove the tire from the rim, pull the tube part thru the hole, roll the pizza cutter type tool to flatten the patch on the inside, then put a layer of rubber cement over the patch, then yes that is a permanent repair
Thanks for posting on /r/MechanicAdvice! This is just a reminder to review the rules. If you are here asking about a second opinion (ie "Is the shop trying to fleece me?"), please read through CJM8515's post on the subject. and remember to please post the year/make/model of the vehicle you are working on.
Patches provide a more permanent fix
I thought a plug was a temporary fix and a proper patch is what you should do.
A patch is a more permanent, stronger fix.
Patches hold air better than plugs
Patches are better for holding air and plugs are easier and do a better job of keeping junk out.

Success rate of patches is not 100%
Well.. their success rate is not 100%, but that puncture is about as good as it gets for being repairable.
Well the same rule applies. Not everything is made perfect. If a random tire can fail so can a patch.
Nothing is more permanent than a temporary fix.
Patches may not hold in certain areas
That's not a pluggable area, and should never have been plugged.
The tire flexes more from the outer groove to the side wall. This is why patches don’t hold out there.
Patches may not last if not applied properly
Plugs often leak where patches shouldn’t at all if done properly as well.
Plug is temporary. Patch is proper

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion on tire repair methods and safety
My tire has a nail near the sidewall, positioned at a curve, and Costco has advised that it’s risky to patch it.
If repaired/patched properly, you will have no problems with that tire.
I’ve patched thousands of tires like that without issue.
Even if the tech might plug it on his personal car some of these shops have crazy strict rules about safety for patching tires.
Debate on tire repair methods
It's a roll of the dice. I wouldn't risk it for two reasons:
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be repaired.
My plug ‘closer to the sidewall’ failed badly. No accidents but never again.
Debate on effectiveness of plugs vs patches
Never had a problem with any plug, even near the sidewalls.
Discussion on the safety of shoulder plugs
I always have a compressor and plug kit with me anyway, so even if the plug decides to start leaking, i'm really not shit out of luck.
This. I've put 50k on shoulder plugs before. If the plug fails, the tire slowly leaks.
