I have the 17063 and it works just fine. I pull a 36ft with it I don't get any fishtailing.

Positive Feedback

One of the few things I’m glad I paid the dealer to install.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Reliable towing performance
I have the 17063 and it works just fine. I pull a 36ft with it I don't get any fishtailing.
The 17063 will be good, I tow a 33’ with a ram 1500 and have no issues!.
Curt hitch - quick and easy install, only removed tie-down bracket, compromised a little clearance.
BEST TRAILER HITCH Brand. As with everything the prices and reviews are all over the place.
Strong towing capability
I have the same hitch, no problems that I've noticed.
Even then it slid along and I wasn’t stuck.
Durable construction
Anyone that has the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver (Class III, 2”), is the loss of rear clearance as bad as it looks?
Easy installation based on user experiences
Overall 10/10 would do it again to save $750.
I’m an absolute idiot but I was able to install this exact hitch on my ‘23 with no problem.
Super easy install
fairly easy to install.
Gives confidence for DIY installation
This gives me a good bit of confidence going into installing my own hitch later this month.
Versatile for carrying bikes
I wasn’t going fast, probably about 5-10 mph, but it was still enough speed and force to break the hitch and separate the bumper at two connection points.
Good value for price
It's quite a discount vs. buying at e-trailer.com, which usually has great prices.
Yeah, seems like a sweet deal compared to what all the other stores are charging.
This saved me quite a bit over my local etrailer price so I went ahead and ordered.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Difficult installation for some users
One of the few things I’m glad I paid the dealer to install.
I’m still happy with it for $205 installed with lifetime unlimited warranty at U-Haul and relatively easy to remove if ever needed.
Lower clearance causing scraping issues
Just replaced my curt for OEM after getting rear ended! Couldn’t be happier with the Kuat rack not scraping anymore driveways!
Failed under stress
Curt hitch on my 2020 XSE broke after driving over a curb at 5-10 mph to avoid a bad driver.

Comparison of CURT and Draw-Tite hitches
Experiences with Draw-Tite vs Curt hitch? Hi everybody, new to this sub.
They're both about the exact same functionally and mount wise. But if the online pictures are anything to go by, it looks like the curt is a straight bar, and the draw-tite is more curved and should hug the body better, so i'd go with that.
I had a draw-tite installed on a base model tacoma. It did just fine and I asked too much of that little truck and hitch in a pinch during a move.
I prefer draw-tite. Towing anything with a hybrid RAV4 will very possibly void your warranty’s on those components.
Factors to consider for choosing a ball mount
Any recommendations here is super appreciated! TY!
depends on your trailer(s), tongue height, how much load you carry, ball size.. this you gotta figure out for your purposes
Problem is if I bought a trailer that I would be towing more often I would have to check what height it would need to ride at and would buy a new ball mount that was properly sized for that trailer.
If you want in person advice you could go to a hardware/automotive store and ask, or see what the folks at uhaul recommend if you have a store nearby.
Discussion about selecting the right hitch based on trailer type
Can anyone recommend something that will cover my needs and last for a long time?
