Positive Feedback

I hate it. I drag that front hitch constantly and it kills my approach angle.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Handy for parking trailers
very handy for parking my trailers.
The Odyssey is so much easier to park in cities than a pickup.
Loving the Hydro Blue Pearlecent on this 2020 max tow I just picked up!!
You can also get it without the receiver.
Versatile for various accessories
This is the answer, it's for front recovery.
You can also connect thinks like a bike rack, or even a dirt bike.
Versatile for moving trailers
But now a cradle is easy and some Anderson plugs fore and aft would be quite versatile.
Strong enough to hold tire without wobble
I routinely have 120+lbs of mountain bikes on my rack, no wobble because I have an anti wobble hitch pin.
Rock solid once installed
it's rock solid once installed.
Easy to install
It came in a few different bolt together pieces and took about an hour to install myself on my 2011 F250.
Installation was pretty easy solo but another set of hands would have helped.
It took me about an hour to install by myself.
Works great having the bikes up front.
Versatile for carrying bikes
I’m going to do this for the bikes!
Reliable for transporting motorcycles
I've had (2) Honda Groms on mine for almost 15,000 miles without any issue.
I’ve never had any issues. Easy to load and unload alone.
I eventually got rid of it, the aluminum section of frame developed stress cracks-it’s just not a great design.
Easy to install compared to other options
It was nice while it lasted though, and is definitely a feature I'll look for in a future bumper replacement.
Useful for installing a winch
I wouldn't mind having a front hitch so I could install a winch as needed.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Difficult to find compatible winch bumpers
I hate it. I drag that front hitch constantly and it kills my approach angle.
Rattling issue when carrying tire
It may be strong enough to hold the tire but unlikely to be able to brace it enough to eliminate the whole thing rattling around.
Increased height affects visibility when hauling bikes
However it raises the height of everything and when hauling bikes they protrude well over the hood and you lose some visibility.
Ground clearance concerns
it looks like it hangs low enough that it'd hit parking blocks.
this sits no lower than that (it's steal instead of plastic though)
Rattles and feels unstable when loaded
Damn thing was so rickety it permanently bent putting the bike on it, and rocked and bounced all over with any movement.
High installation cost quoted by Uhaul
Uhaul will charge $400 for the installation of the Curt one.
Installation is a pain
Total pain to install.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on compatibility with different hitch brands
It works great and just put the 2" receiver attachment on my 1UpUSA rack when using the Cross and it works like a charm.
The 2" receiver of the aftermarket is definitely attractive because it’s beefier and I already have 2" accessories.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Potential for customization with winch mounts
Maybe modify a winch mount?
Throttle Down Kustoms has em. Expensive, but nice.
A portable winch mount?
Discussion on winch mounting options
I hate the look of the front hitch and don’t want to spend the $$$ on a new bumper.
Road Armor makes a rear winch bumper and honestly that is more useful for 90% of truck owners.
Our work truck f550 has the extended bumper w/ winch and it sticks out like a foot but from a distance doesn't look out of place.
Discussion on DIY tire carriers
Not a sound, and it blends in nicely visually.
I like it a lot.
Discussion about mounting options for RV trailers
Can you mount (or have) a rear hitch for the RV?

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion on trailer weight and tongue weight tuning
I'd get a hitch scale and use the bicycle rack to fine tune your tongue weight so it's a good match for the trailer's weight.
Discussion about compatibility with 2022 Lightning and ICE F-150
I’m assuming they’re good if it’s the same f150 platform but I’m not seeing anything that actually confirms that.
your best bet might be to call ford customer service or check with your dealer.
Absolutely useless lol.
Comparison with other brands and mounting options
Looks like the Reese and Curt are two totally different mounting options for the superduty series.
Put on a TorkLift hidden hitch. Worth the $.
Once installed, it was been great.
If you have a 4x4 you will need to remove the 'prius catcher' teeth on the front.
Discussion about brand comparisons for hitch installation
Just picked up my first RAV4 (2022 Hybrid Limited) and would like to have a hitch installed.
But if the online pictures are anything to go by, it looks like the curt is a straight bar.
I had a draw-tite installed on a base model tacoma. Everything held up fine.
Have you considered getting the OEM Toyota hitch?
Potential for using eTrailer for hitch purchases
Check out etrailer.com they had a front hitch for my 2016 F150...
Discussion on different brands and models of hitch carriers
Wasn't too much trouble to load solo.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about weight distribution affecting trailer sway
weight in the back will reduce tongue weight, and too little weight can cause sway.
Compatibility concerns with 2022 Lightning due to auto air dam
I’m assuming they’re good if it’s the same f150 platform but I’m not seeing anything that actually confirms that.
Neither of those will work due to the auto air dam; I would call TorkLift on Monday and ask them about their x7913s.
Compatibility concerns for 2022 F-150 XLT
I can’t mount it in the rear for obvious reasons, the RV is already there.
the F-150 has a much weaker front suspension that might not be able to handle additional weight without mods to the front suspension.
