Consumer feedback highlights the set's impressive lightweight and compact design, making it a favorite among backpackers. Users appreciate the non-stick coating, with one stating, "I've used this pan for a couple of weeks. I tend to cook at high heat. And I regularly scramble eggs. None of that caused sticking." Very open to anything / everything. I'd love it to cook great + age great + look great :) Thank you!!!

Positive Feedback

They’re probably aluminum or titanium, and while great for camping, not good for every day cooking.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Lightweight and portable design
Very open to anything / everything. I'd love it to cook great + age great + look great :) Thank you!!!
Feeling slightly overwhelmed by options so I'm just looking for opinions.
Personally been eyeing the Always Pan but haven't been able to pull the trigger.
I had been looking at replacing some nonstick stuff with lightweight options that don't have these coatings
Compact nesting structure
Truth be told I initially thought these were kids play cookery.
My most-used pan day-to-day is a [3qt Demeyere Industry5 sauté] but our only 10/10 pan so far has been the NanoBond fry pan — which was genuinely surprising bc I expected it to just be a gimmick.
Non-stick coating helps with cooking
I've used this pan for a couple of weeks. I tend to cook at high heat. And I regularly scramble eggs. None of that caused sticking.
High-quality materials used in construction
It looks like in the finishing step where they were supposed to mill it (or sand blast it or whatever) away from the stainless steel, it wasn't fully removed.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Not suitable for everyday cooking
They’re probably aluminum or titanium, and while great for camping, not good for every day cooking.
So I guess my question is would you recommend this pan so far?
Quality concerns about cookware
They are such a pain. Everything has to be in the right order, with the handles at just the right angle or they won't fit.
Water beads up slightly, but the surface remains fully wetted regardless.
Too much cookware for short trips
Cool gear, but waaaaay more than I would take on a weekend or even a full week trip.

I have no use for another sauté pan, but I’m curious to learn what exactly this “non-coating” thing is and why it’s a dark color.

We got a 12 person Ozark Trail cabin tent and it was amazing, especially with rain fly off.
Then I started list and added to it the next couple trips.
I've just started keeping everything in a tote and put everything back in the tote when I get back.
Most camping gear outside of clothing isn't used outside of camping. So just get a large tote or two and put *everything* in it.

If you think owning hexclad is some kind of credibility, you are incorrect.
Discussion on cookware organization and nesting
I'd settle for the folding handles - so much cupboard space wasted with bloody saucepan handles!

I don’t go camping but I’m thinking to myself “I might go someday and that’d be really useful”
I just want *something of quality within this concept* for home.

Overall it's fine except the insulation on the handles should be silicon not plastic, expect that to melt, but who really cares.
We follow the instructions where on three different pieces of paper thrown into the box. Season, hand wash and store.

Discussion on non-stick performance
You can't have true nonstick cookware without PTFE, so you will either need to change what you are looking for, and/or lower your expectations of the nonstick performance.
