What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Convenient for carrying essentials during runs
Love the belt for training. I can easily carry 2x500ml of water along with my cellphone, some gels/snacks, a headlamp, etc.
The Naked belt has served me well and can fit two 500ml soft flasks and still has another compartment for gels and snacks.
I find this belt the most comfortable and stable (as long as you get the correct size) and even if I wear it under my shirt (directly on skin) haven’t had any issues with chaffing.
It comes in at ~260g/9.17 oz and seems like it could be worth trying for $50.
Lightweight design enhances comfort
I've done 2 100 milers with a belt and handheld combo. It's also much easier to throw on and just carry your phone, a bottle, or some gels on a training run.
In terms of build quality nothing to fault so far. In terms of features such as shoulder strap pocket size, it can a bit lacking.
Lightweight, expandable. Lots of colors.
Good purchase and definitely fit my needs as a casual runner.
Good build quality for the price
The build seems fine. The thing with UD at least haven't dealt with Salmon is they will usually get behind there stuff if it goes wrong.
Works well for carrying essentials during runs
Running Belts? What kind do you like? Where did you get it? Why do you think others should buy it? Etc.
I have the AONIJIE one off of Amazon and it works well for me! It doesn't come with a bladder but has a pocket for one
Surprisingly effective for carrying essentials
I’m genuinely surprised at how well this belt works for me.
Comfortable fit during runs
I bought one a couple of years ago, quality was fine, it's really comfortable, and I've had no real problems with it.
Effective for carrying essentials
It fitted 2 litter bladder, phone and gels. Pretty basic and the fit is not snug, but hey, it carried me through a 50k.
Inexpensive and comfortable option for hydration
What about a belt?
Flip belt with bottle. Inexpensive, comfortable, convenient.

Where it needs some work!

Can cause pressure on sensitive stomach areas
the belt tends to cause more pressure on areas that can trouble me over a longer run
Hydration belt that doesn't bounce around every step - suggestions? Prepping for a less aggravating summer, I hope.
I went with a vest and it's way better, so keep that in mind as well!
Requires adjustments during use
The main compartment is water resistant and combined with a dry sack our clothes stayed dry over several hours of rain.
Pockets may not work well for all items
I just don't feel like the pockets really work well for either the flask or my phone.
Side pockets can be unreliable
I just got another 100 mile win with the new one. It’s an incredible value.
Hydration belts can feel bulky and cause chafing
I have the Osprey Duro/Dyna 1.5 L, and it's much more comfortable than any hydration belt that I've ever tried.

Preference varies between belts and vests based on run type
Totally depends on the run. Belts are good for a nice middle ground (more than a short pocket, ~5L capacity) but the majority of my long runs and races I need a bit more room so I go with a vest.
Vest all the way. I have a large hip to waist ratio and belts didn’t work except a flip belt that fit lower over my hips, which turns out to be very not comfortable for running.
I have a Flip belt and a Fitletic. Both fit good and don't cause chafe or bounce.
I've tried lots of belts, and they all either bounce or ride up or chafe or have some kind of problem. Have you considered a vest instead?

Generally well regarded.
Discussion on preferences between vests and waist belts for hydration during runs
Would hate to get there and not be able to use it.
You will be safe and certainly not alone in rocking just a vest.
You are welcome 🙂 I empathize with the disdain for belts also lol I myself am considering using my
I’d rather lose a $15 Amazon belt than a $140 vest.
Discussion on various running belt brands
Not looking to hold much beyond my iPhone, keys, and ID/cash.
Put the phone/cash/etc. in a Ziplock bag
Flip belt rules. Comes in all different sizes. I was training for half marathons and would forget I even had the thing on.
There is a tiny water bottle that you can get for it too. I’m wondering if that’s any good.
User experiences with sizing variations
The main problem I have with the 5L vest, is the bottle holders in the front. There's no release, and the pockets are quite tight.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Handheld bottles feel lighter as you run
I'd use the handheld personally. Despite what you said, it actually gets lighter as you go. 😀
