Affordable compared to Canon lenses
But I can tell you you're probably just making yourself unhappy for no reason wishing you could get $500 f/2.8 zooms, it's not happening.
Tl;Dr Sigma lenses are great and maybe if you to in the nitty gritty you will find some minor issues with them compared to the Canon equivalent, but up to you if that's worth the huge difference in cost.
Works well with various camera models using adapters
Not trying to replace my lenses right now since I’m happy with them, but will probably go full frame if I can’t use these.
They all work great using the official EF-RF adaptor from canon with control ring on my R5/R6/R50.
it's by far better than with the camera I originally bought it for (760D).

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Minimalist design appeals to some users
I like the minimalist design, but the lack of removable storage is very conflicting for me.
I think it's a camera for people who don't like cameras but like photos.
Feels more like a minimalist luxury item than anything.
Discussion about Sigma's unique camera approach
I for one love the bizarre little cameras that Sigma has made over the years.
I laughed when I saw a YouTube comment on a video about it: "Finally a camera for people who hate photography".
Discussion about design aesthetics of new silver lenses
Sigma BF looks fantastic in black, but the new silver lenses look so good with the matching body.
Future potential for full frame RF lenses
The good news is once they do start doing FF lenses it'll probably be like the rf-s lineup where we got 6 new lenses in about a 6 months period.
No need to envy the 18-50 2.8 when you can get a 24-105 4 that is more capable in every direction.
Discussion on Sigma lens evolution and updates
I just remember how impressed I was with the sigma and could never justify buying Cannon L lens equivalent.
Comparison of size and weight between older and newer Sigma lenses
The DSLR versions are just alot bigger than the newer sigma mirrorless versions (dg dn) so no matter what you pick size and weight will be noticible.
Discussion on the usefulness of eyecups vs EVF in bright conditions
an eyecup cannot change the intensity of light outside the viewfinder, so what was traditionally helpful in improving viewfinder visibility is no longer as useful.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion about using older Sigma lenses on newer mirrorless cameras
the Canon R7 is really the best upgrade path from your 77D.
if for some reason I had to replace everything, I would have gone full frame.

Discussion about Sigma lens compatibility on different mounts
Can you use Sigma lenses on your mirrorless camera?
You can use EF-mount Sigma lenses on RF mount Canon mirrorless cameras, using an EF to RF adapter.
The democratisation of filmmaking is real.
Concerns about future resale value
I doubt you'll find them for sale on the 2nd hand market for much of a discount at all until many many years down the road if ever.
this seems like the kind of camera that people like the idea of and then sell after a year when they realize it's not for them after all.
Discussion on pricing differences between APS-C and full frame lenses
Full frame lenses are just more expensive to make than equivalent or similar APS-C lenses.
Discussion about suitability for beginners in wildlife photography
I'm very much a novice in this field and I currently have a relatively old Nikon d5200.
As long as your shutter speed is at 1/1000s or faster, you should be okay handholding it.
Canon EF model compatibility with mirrorless using EF-RF adapter
You’ll need the EF-RF adapter so it’ll work with a mirrorless camera.
I don’t see any reason why it shouldn’t work?
Discussion about potential upgrade to mirrorless camera
Eventually I think it would be best to upgrade my camera body to a mirrorless one, but that’s going to be a huge expense.
Confusion about different Sigma lens versions
Upon more research I am now in utter confusion.
F2.8 APSC designed for mirrorless camera.
Thank you. This clears it up alot.
Well obviously . how much ? you need to read reviews and check the sample photos.
Discussion on the need for lens calibration with mirrorless cameras
EOS R doesn't require the lens to be calibrated as the focus is perfect.
if the image sensor says it's in focus, the picture it takes will be too.
a mirrorless camera doesn't have the mirror, consequently does not have the issue and as such, this correctible aspect is simply not there.
Discussion about pricing for new lenses
Sigma Unveils Affordable 100-400mm f/5-6.3 Lens for Mirrorless Cameras

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Users sharing experiences with older lenses
I do want a new lens very badly but don't have $1500 laying around to get what I want.
Concerns about the quality of hardware and software polish
On paper the specs and price may seem okay but using the cameras will probably feel very unpolished in both hardware, software and ergonomics compared to other cameras in the market.
