Snoop's Take

The 32mm F10 Free Focus Pancake Lens for RF Mount is a unique lens designed for EOS R Series mirrorless cameras, offering a fun and retro photography experience. With its fixed aperture and focus-free design, this lightweight lens allows for casual portrait photography and street photography while capturing a lo-fi aesthetic. Consumer feedback highlights the lens's appeal as an affordable option, particularly for those seeking to explore third-party lenses without a hefty price tag; one user noted, "I'm looking for 3rd party lenses only because it's cheap." However, some users have pointed out that it does not match the image quality of higher-end lenses, with one remarking, "it doesn’t take pictures of the same quality as my kit lens, which I expected." Overall, the lens is appreciated for its playful features, making it a fun addition to a photographer's kit. For those interested in retro-style photography on a budget, the 32mm F10 Free Focus Pancake Lens is recommended, especially if the user is aware of its limitations in quality compared to more expensive options.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on different pancake lenses
Takes incredible photos for the price point.
For the price point, it's a great lens.
Probably talking about a different lens, as it’s never been as low as $70.
Comments on manual focus and street photography suitability
I got it for 70usd and it's well worth the money. Only manual focus so not for everyone.
Damn. How do you like the focal length for street photography? Too wide or perfect?
the light weight, portability, discreet form factor when attached to my X-T4, and its WR considerably outweigh any negatives.
Discussion on versatility of lenses
Having one lens that can go from 18mm to 50mm while maintaining a f2.8 aperture is insanely versatile.
Preference for lightweight and portable lenses
Its so lightweight and portable for a zoom lens of that quality.

Discussion on DIY camera projects.
I'm not joking that it can be considered as mirrorless camera, because the principle of the camera is the same as common mirrorless camera.
Don't let Amazon find out though as we'll end up with more questionable camera brands next November 😁
Very cool!, looks great, and that lens too!
I am a beginner trying to get into photography and film now that I can afford to buy these cameras.

Discussion on the limitations of Canon's compatibility with third-party lenses.
Point being, stop putting so much damn emphasis on the “no 3rd party lens options” like it’s all that matters.
I know alot of professional photographers still create amazing works with 5D4 and EF glasses.
Dude the 5D4 and EF L glass still go hard.
If I could get the selection of lensing I could get on Sony E in RF mount, I'd be shooting an R6 II right now, no question.
Discussion on the appeal of vintage film look
Expensive camera + cheap toy lens = fun time out.
this is a much cheaper way of going about it!
Comments on second-hand lens options
don't be afraid to get something second hand...alternatively, the ttartisan 27mm 2.8 is a bargain at 200€ new.
Get yourself a xf 18-55 if you are in Germany you can get it used for around 250€.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Debate on lens vignetting issues
It heavily vignettes at almost all apertures, but if you're ok with that it does really well for the price.
The build quality is amazing and it's light to carry.
Me and my brother will never be the same because of a fake wedding. (New Update) **I am not The OOP,
Discussion on lens filters for protection
I plan to get one that I can leave on all the time, such as a UV filter that will also protect the lens without negatively affecting the image quality.
Skip the UV. Digital doesn't need the correction.
Does it affect the photo more than one clear and it is better to find one without UV protection or it doens't matter?
I prefer these just for protection.
