Snoop's Take

The Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant is an all-in-one cockpit system designed for flight simulation enthusiasts. It provides a fully configurable throttle setup catering to a wide range of aircraft, ensuring precise control and a realistic flying experience. Consumer sentiment around the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant is largely positive, with many users praising its affordability and feature set. One user noted, "this gear is very reasonably priced for what's here," highlighting its value compared to other simulation gear. Additionally, the product's durability is well-regarded, as reflected in comments like, "still going strong and couldn't be happier," although some users did raise concerns about the company's support and shipping delays. Overall, the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant is highly recommended for those starting in flight simulation, given its versatility and quality for the price. While potential issues with company support exist, the product's performance and features make it a solid choice in its category.

Is this a good starter setup?

Positive Feedback

You are right! Get the HC Yoke and these throttles. The throttles will eventually crap out and need to be replaced, but will more than get you started until you can afford a better set.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Highly recommended for starting flight simulation
Is this a good starter setup?
Both would be good starter setups, it's just that the Bravo with a cheaper yoke would be the *better* setup.
My tier list: 1. Honeycomb Alpha - not ideal, but the best. This one I will keep for myself.
This comes in perfect for me as I was starting to look at yoke and throttle quadrant options.
Reasonably priced for the features offered
this gear is very reasonably priced for what's here. And compared to racing sim gear, it's a no-brainer.
Fantastic product for the price
Been a fantastic product for the price.
Great for realism in flight controls
For demanding flight simmers - especially IRL GA pilots - looking for ‘realism’ in flight controls, you’re going to have to go with commercial grade flight school stuff 💰, but you’ve already got an expensive hobby.
I have a saitek pro flight cessna yoke and it has 180° roll.
Durable and reliable performance over time
still going strong and couldn't be happier
no issues here if it helps
they are solid pieces
no issues at all
Versatile throttle controls enhance realism
Having centralized controls in the throttle quadrant would be brilliant to make the quality of life better, yet when doing departures and approaches, obviously a precise yoke would be fantastic too.
Throttle is way more versatile than the yoke, adds a bunch of buttons also on top and is somewhat closer to a realistic setup having a stick + throttles.
They’re amazing together but the trim wheel is indeed revolutionary- as mentioned.
While I'm sure the nature of a yoke could be a lovely experience for takeoffs and landings, I feel that a lot of my frustrations and struggles have been with having lessened precision by using joystick buttons.
Smoother and more accurate controls compared to competitors
The honeycomb is sooooo much smoother and accurate.
all of that didn’t compare to the out-of-box functionality and smoothness of the honeycomb.
High quality for the price point
The Honeycomb yoke is a good buy, but it is not without its faults.

Throttle may need replacement over time
You are right! Get the HC Yoke and these throttles. The throttles will eventually crap out and need to be replaced, but will more than get you started until you can afford a better set.
Lack of communication and support from the company
Is honeycomb aeronautical dead? I went to their official subreddit and people haven’t gotten their orders or heard back on emails asking for refunds or other help issues for months.
The Alpha is a solid yoke, and the Bravo is genuinely one of the best flight sim peripherals available.
Hopefully they come out of hiding but at the least I wouldn't buy anything that I didn’t know was for sure in stock somewhere.
Company may be running a ghost operation
most consumers are convinced to wait past the 60 day dispute period for their order at which point recourse is limited.
Shipping delays reported by customers
It's been nearly a month. It's three levers, man. Can you throw 'em in an envelope and put a stamp on it?
Trim not an axis is a major flaw
The fact that the trim is not an axis is criminal.
Concerns about company support and reliability
Honeycomb - Should I Avoid? Total novice here. I have a Bravo and Alpha about to be delivered and after digging around the web and reading about all the hardware problems combined with a crappy company ethos I am getting cold feet.
Mounting system limitations
the limitations of the Honeycomb mounting system means I sometimes find it not worth the trouble to install the yoke.

Discussion on alternative budget setups
Thanks for the feedback, after looking around much do you think just going for the logitech bundle would be decent?
And one more think if you gonna buy HC Alpha and you will notice some deadzones - do a calibration from that video, especially the second method.
Discussion of expensive flight control options
And the C2 Console includes a great trim wheel system. 😉
Comparison of Honeycomb with other flight control options
I've head good and bad about the Logitech Yoke, so unsure however, love the compatibility with a full set with Control Panels
Depends on how much the honeycomb yoke is out of your budget, it would be by far your best bet.
Went with the Honeycombs alpha and bravo. If I hadnt done that, would have gone with the thrustmaster airbus editions, though the warthog was in contention

Discussion about the company's potential struggles
What a strange thing to announce in June 2023 yet still be selling the “old” (current) XPC model for $350.
Discussion on potential bankruptcy implications
No one would be going to jail. They are protected by their company structure.
Not necessarily true that the company principles could get away without justice by declaring bankruptcy.
