The advantage of this E-CVT is there are no clutch packs or belts to wear out, just a single planetary gear set.
I see no parts inside which slip to give wear, like the clutch plates in a traditional auto tranny nor the metal belt in a traditional CVT.
the downsides are that certain modes of operation are a lot more complicated (i.e. neutral, which doesn't technically exist), but 99.99% of the time you won't care.

It’s convenient cuz it’s pretty light and easy to scoot around.
That scissor Jack one is a worthless piece of shit unless you only need it a couple of times.
I don't recommend unless highly skilled, but it still works to this day!
