Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion on modifying winch mounts
I'm sure it wouldn't be tough to modify a winch mount to have a receiver that pokes through the bumper.
I’d rather not use the front tow hitch.
Discussion on using a trailer setup
Safer with a trailer setup?
spending the time to unfold and put it together every time made it too big a barrier to make me want to actually use it.
Discussion about bumper options with integrated receiver
Loving the Hydro Blue Pearlecent on this 2020 max tow I just picked up!!
Steel bumper, room for winch, and a 2” receiver.
Sorry, I lied…it’s Rock Hard 4x4!
Throttle Down Kustoms has em. Expensive, but nice.
Discussion about using a portable winch mount
A portable winch mount?
Exploration of alternative winch bumper solutions
Road Armor makes a rear winch bumper and honestly that is more useful for 90% of truck owners.
Our work truck f550 has the extended bumper w/ winch and it sticks out like a foot but from a distance doesn't look out of place.
Question about alternative rear hitch options for RV
Can you mount (or have) a rear hitch for the RV?
Discussion about bike rack suitability for large frame bikes
The 2” receiver of the aftermarket is definitely attractive because it’s beefier and I already have 2” accessories.

Challenges in finding specific compatibility information for newer models
I’m assuming they’re good if it’s the same f150 platform but I’m not seeing anything that actually confirms that.
Unfortunately, you probably won’t see much out there on this.
Absolutely useless lol.
Discussion on compatibility with different models
I’m assuming they’re good if it’s the same f150 platform but I’m not seeing anything that actually confirms that.
Neither of those will work due to the auto air dam; I would call TorkLift on Monday and ask them about their x7913s.
Discussion comparing CURT and Draw-Tite hitches
Just picked up my first RAV4 (2022 Hybrid Limited) and would like to have a hitch installed.
But if the online pictures are anything to go by, it looks like the curt is a straight bar, and the draw-tite is more curved and should hug the body better.
Everything held up fine.
Have you considered getting the OEM Toyota hitch?
Mention of front hitch availability for older F-150 models
Check out etrailer.com they had a front hitch for my 2016 F150...
Comparison of OEM hitch vs aftermarket options
No question, the Activity mount is useless, but it's unclear if the tow hitch is also useless.
I went with the Draw-Tite 2" hitch and don't regret it.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Challenges with intercooler and winch compatibility
I hate the look of the front hitch and don’t want to spend the $$$ on a new bumper.
Concerns about front suspension weight capacity for F-150
the F-150 has a much weaker front suspension that might not be able to handle additional weight without mods to the front suspension.
