Snoop's Take

The Trail maker Classic 17 Inch Backpack is a versatile and stylish bag designed for everyday use, featuring adjustable padded shoulder straps for comfort. Customers appreciate its ample space for organizing personal items and tools, with comments like "Absolutely love the pocket for that" highlighting its practicality. However, some users point out that the lack of side pockets for water bottles and limited capacity for larger items can be drawbacks. Despite these minor issues, this backpack is generally well-received and recommended for those seeking a colorful and functional daily carry solution.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Comfortable for carrying personal items
And it's quite comfortable for me, even with my wallet/snacks/clothes.
For my day to day use as a Controls Engineer, I love it just for being able to throw all of my chords and tools in.
Good for organizing tools and cables
Absolutely love the pocket for that.
Durable zippers for easy access
I second the Swissgear suggestion. It's been great.
Carries laptop, meter, screwdriver set, spare ENBT, noise cancelling headphones, as well as a shitload of converters.
Ample space for organizing work tools and personal items
Never been short on room.
Feature-rich with colorful design
So feature rich, so colorful, and so finely crafted!
Comfortable for daily use
I don’t find the third pictured way of wearing backpack comfortable. At all.
So I want a backpack that I'll carry daily and that will be very comfortable :)

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Lack of side pockets for water bottles
I mostly miss a water bottle pocket on the outside.
Not having side pockets also feel a bit odd: having a place to put a water bottle to the side/random crap like some bags for easy access is nice.
Limited capacity for larger items without getting chaotic
the giant pocket of holding just gets excessively chaotic and I then can't get what I need when I need it.
Not ideal for frequent air travel due to size concerns
You need more of a bag that is more of a pear or triangle shape than at rectangle, which the Swissgear offers that.
I worry everytime I have to fly with the LTT Backpack.
Not deep enough for multiple items stacked on a laptop
my biggest complaint is that they are not deep enough.
Not suitable for long hikes or heavy loads
I think at 18 liters, those features are excessive.
Arc'teryx backpacks are perceived as underwhelming in quality
The main uses for this backpack will be commuting to work and short trips where I can bring it as a personal item on a plane.
I agree that Arc'teryx backpacks have been underwhelming the last several years especially in the laptop compartment solution.
