You don't need to drain all of the coolant, no. Just replace what falls out when you pull the hose off to do the thermostat.
Thanks for the reply. So if im understanding you correctly, I dont have to mess with the radiator at all.
Looking online, I'm seeing less than $1000 pretty universally. I know there's a premium to using the dealer more often than not, but that's quite the markup.
