Snoop's Take

The Suness 24W Fish Tank Vacuum Gravel Cleaner is an electric aquarium tool designed to efficiently clean fish tanks by removing dirt, performing automatic water changes, and maintaining water quality. With adjustable power settings and a comprehensive filtration system, this vacuum cleaner stands out for its versatility and ability to cater to different aquarium sizes and needs. Consumer feedback highlights a mix of experiences with the product. Many users appreciate the time-saving features, stating, “I can vacuum the tank in about two mins and do a 30% change in 5 mins.” However, there are concerns regarding its effectiveness, especially for planted tanks, with some users noting it can be “more work than just a normal gravel vac with a siphon pump.” Additionally, difficulties in starting the siphon action have been reported, with one user commenting on the effort required to get it functioning properly. Overall, while the Suness 24W Fish Tank Vacuum Gravel Cleaner offers some innovative features and efficiency for specific tasks, potential buyers should consider the mixed feedback and evaluate whether it meets their aquarium maintenance needs, particularly if they have planted tanks or require a straightforward cleaning solution.

More work than traditional siphon vacuum
it ends up being more work than just a normal gravel vac with a siphon pump.
I just use a hose I got off a beer drinking hat to remove water out of the tank.
Not suitable for planted tanks
these things are usually crap id recommend sticking w a normal siphon.
Barely cleans and clogs with sand
it was absolutely horrible because it barely cleaned and mostly sucked up sand which kept clogging.
Difficult to start siphon action
So far the vacuum cleaner have not been living up to the name easy it has!
The gravel cleaners that don’t have any means to get a siphon happening are a pain in the butt, IMO.
I’ve never been able to get these things to start the way they’re supposed to.
I basically had to go at it like I was *kof* stimulating someone vigorously until water was consistently pouring from the tube.
Requires shaking and effort to work
I found that it's easier to put it in upside down so that the siphon tube fills with water.
