Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Exploration of safety glasses vs sports sunglasses
hahaha, exactly. That's the road biking life!
I only ride with clear ones, cause I hate cutting out light in the woods.
Oakley's are no joke though. Strong as! My bro got smashed in the face by a rock that was spat out by his friends tractor and the glasses saved him a trip to the hospital and potentially a lost eye.
Good safety glasses may not even be much cheaper than crappy Oakley but they will be designed to take the impact if you fall.
Discussion on photochromic lenses for variable lighting conditions
Any lenses that boost visibility in the shadows, and tame bright lights?
A photochromic lens would probably be useful.
Been happy with my Julbo photochromic lenses. The tech works, they're always at the right tint... if only they weren't so dang expensive
Tifosi photochromic are good and cheap
Discussion on polarized sunglasses' effectiveness
Polarized Sunglasses Let’s talk polarized sunglasses. What brands and what color lenses do you use?
Costa with green glass polarized lens. I’m a believer in sunglasses with glass lenses. They scratch a lot less.
They really are great huh. I drop mine all the time and no scratches.
Any polarized sunglasses are a step up from nothing.

Discussion on lens colors for different conditions
The lens colors sort of do make a difference.
What‘s a european alternative to Oakley Sports sunglasses?
Prada Sunglasses review
Hey, just wondering if anyone could recommend any budget / decent cycling glasses?
Exploration of various brands and lens choices
Adding to OPs question, Does anyone have the new Oakley Prizm Polarized sunglasses???? Are they any better than regular polarized glasses?? Are they worth the money?
Yup. Smith Chromapop, the yellow lenses, everyday wear.
Seconded. I love the brown ChromaPop glass.
Thanks! I have yet to try on the smaller frames of the guides choice, but I plan to and a few other frames before buying. I was looking at hookset and reddings as well. Would you recommend brown green mirror for varying light? I’m ok spending a little more if what I get is more versatile.. i don’t want to be buying multiple pairs right off the bat to cover all conditions
Discussion on affordability of sunglasses
Safety glasses are normally certified to recognised international standards and give you good field of view.
It’s pretty funny how cheaper brands do exactly the same thing better than Oakley does now.
I use a pair of $15 UVEX safety glasses for my mountain biking. They look good, have vents to minimize fogging, and are so cheap compared to the expensive ones.
How is being an orthodontist relevant to what glasses you buy?
Discussion on various brands for running sunglasses
I was thinking of getting a pair of Oakley cycling-type glasses, but I'm primarily a runner these days.
Get a pair from Goodr. Cheap, polarized, stay put on your face.
If it's bright out, I wear sunglasses. It's a no brainer for me.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion on lens quality and distortion
They distort your vision compared to the higher end models.
Comments on the effectiveness of different brands of lenses
I have the $30 RockBros photochromics and they are fine
So, I went with a Pair of Smith Attack MTB glasses. With these, you get two lenses.
Oakley sutro with trail lens
Concerns about durability and safety of lenses
They shatter and penetrate your eyes
Don't wear acrylic lenses.
They claim to be polycarbonate
