Rainwater collects inside the playhouse
It’s great except rainwater gets inside on the floor and the only way to get it out is flip it and let it drain.
Also, be careful with your drilling, you could just end up flooding the hollow floor so everytime your kid steps in it shoots them with water.
I would be careful not to drill through a double-walled portion, or the insides will fill with water that will be borderline impossible to get out.

Risk of injury on hard floors
Sure they probably won't die but it's like their heads are magnets to hard floors.
This may come as a surprise to you but hardwood is harder than mulch or dirt.

Interest in a variety of outdoor toys
If a bottle of bubbles has the most play value I'd rather get that than a swing, you know?
Make sure it has a cover, we put a sandbag on top of the cover too because I don't want it to become a litter box.
I see options made from plastic like step2 and little tikes that I know are known decent brands.
Just don’t want to spend a ton of money on things that will be quickly outgrown.
Concerns about playsets for transient living situations
there’s always sticks!
I'd definitely go secondhand for that kind of stuff!
The swing set doesn’t have to stay forever!
Discussion on the necessity of play structures
I think parents vastly overestimate the play value of monkey bars, slides and climbing walls.
Step 4 probably just go back to the playground a bunch.
Concerns about child interest in climbing toys

Thing is beautiful now!
Recommendation for stronger, lower maintenance metal playsets
Much stronger than the fancy wooden ones, cheaper, and lower maintenance.
Discussion about finding assemblers for playsets
how did you find a 3rd party assembler? taskrabbit?
Yes. Was able to find guys that installed swingsets, exercise equipment, etc.
Interest in purchasing used playsets
If money is an issue, that might be an option.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Benefits of using toy libraries
it’s been the best thing ever. New toys every few weeks and all the big bulky toys that you don’t want in your house long term.
Concerns about boredom with play structures
I’m worried that the boys would quickly get bored with it.
Discussion about safety padding
I can already hear heads hitting the wood floors lol.
I'm waiting for slightly warmer weather so we can open the windows and air them out though, as they all have that lovely vinyl-fresh smell.
