Lightweight and portable for travel
it's lighter than my aluminum tripod...it's quite compact (for me) in the carrying case.
In an effort to pack light I was considering just taking a monopod.
I also have a Giottos monopod, which is nice for some situations where I need light and more stability than I can manage.
The Sirui looks more sturdy and seems to have more features.
