Snoop's Take

The Plano Protector PillarLock Series Bow Case is a hard protective case designed to securely store and transport compound bows, accommodating both single and split or parallel-limb designs. With its patented PillarLock system, this case ensures anti-crush strength and maintains the integrity of the bow during travel, also providing storage for up to six arrows. Consumer sentiment highlights a mix of appreciation for its durability and protective capabilities, with users noting that "it has held up well and kept my bow in great shape." However, some concerns have emerged regarding the necessity to remove the quiver for storage, with one user stating, "My biggest gripe is you have to remove your quiver and strap it separately." Additionally, there are mentions of general quality concerns about Plano products, indicating a need for careful consideration before purchase. Overall, the Plano Protector PillarLock Series Bow Case is recommended for those seeking a reliable and sturdy option for bow transport, although potential buyers should weigh the quiver storage issue and any quality concerns expressed in user feedback.

Comparison with other cases
No air travel, just need to throw it in my vehicle to go hunting and 3D shoots.
Flambeau is good for the price. Made it through tsa a few times.
Check eBay for a used SKB.
It has storage compartments and thick padding. Its is a bit heavy but it provides great storage and protection.
Comparison to other bow cases
Looking to purchase a new bow case in the future.
I like how you can fit a quiver on the arrow side and still put a handful of arrows “loose” in their foam-channel storage.
The SKB was expensive, but I would throw it off a cliff and not worry too much that my gear was going to be damaged.
What not just ship in original box!
Discussion on alternative cases
never had an issue.
SKB insures your bow when you fly with that case which is nice.
a third of the cost of an sbk case.
Great quality
Difficulty finding cases for specific bow sizes
Anyone else have an issue finding a case for a bigger bow?
Skb cases. My local shop has them to make sure you have the right one for your bow.
It held the bow and arrows securely. That’s all I really needed.

Discussion on upgrading bow cases
While I don’t travel much with my bow, I figure my hard earned cash materialized into a bow and accessories stay safe.
If anybody knows of a decent bow case also under the $300 range for all the different budgets out there that would be awesome.
I think it'll depend on use case (no pun intended). If you just want something better than you've got now, SKB would work fine, and I think Pelican also has their V series (V700, 730, 800, etc) that generally go for like $150-200ish). Would be a much nicer option than the standard Plano.
My son has the legend Everest 44 case. Worked well going to international tournaments as well as day to day to the club.
Discussion on replacement parts availability
That looks solid! File available? I had the plano for my hoyt show up with no latches 4 years ago.

Discussion on price expectations for bow cases
What is the price of a good bow case?
A hard case for compound is gonna run you $100 or more.
Think about what you want to do with the case. Travel to and from your archery range, just storage at your home, or traveling (car or flying).
I got it for about $100 and it fits all my equipment nicely inside including but not limited to my bow, arrows, stabilisers, quiver, hard sight case, etc.
Discussion on alternative case types and brands
I'm a big fan of the Plano All Weather case.
I have Plano all weather cases for my bows.
