The MOOG K201279 Suspension Stabilizer Bar Bushing Kit is designed for specific Toyota RAV4 and Scion xB models, offering a reliable replacement for worn-out bushings. Made from high-quality natural rubber, this kit ensures durability and enhances ride performance while being rigorously tested for quality assurance. Users have expressed satisfaction with the product, noting that they find it to be an effective replacement, with comments like "replacing your strut rod bushing with some newer ones that are stiffer than stock make a huge difference" and "it feels tight and drives great". However, some concerns about declining quality and fitment issues have been raised, as indicated by feedback like "Moog used to be good but they were bought by a company a few years ago." Overall, despite some mixed reviews, the product is generally recommended for those seeking a quality bushing replacement.

Effective replacement for worn-out bushings
Replacing your strut rod bushing with some newer ones that are stiffer than stock make a huge difference.
They do the trick
Offers greasable options
Don't they offer Moog links with the grease fittings? Those ones are typically the best quality as far as aftermarket goes.
Moog sway bar links are thicker and more durable than OEM
The moog sway bar links are very nice. The oem ones are thin and prone to bending, where the moog ones are extra thick.
Preferred brand for quality among others
I would go with Moog.
Performs well after installation
It feels tight and drives great.
Depends on if it's got play or not.
Convenience of greasable parts
They're so convenient!
MOOG is a good brand for bushings
As for the brand names moog is good, mevotech is good as well.
MOOG is a good brand however for a $20 difference you should just put the VW parts in.

Where it needs some work!

Quality has declined over time
You’re fine but as others have said I’d avoid Moog.
The last Moog parts I have purchased don't seem to have the same quality as the older Moog parts.
They seem to have gone downhill in the past few years.
Moog used to be good but they were bought by a company a few years ago.
Previous issues with Moog quality
I had issues with moog and mevotech before.
High cost compared to OEM parts
they’re $46 from mazda, not $2.
Concerns about product quality
Maybe the quality of that particular product.
Possible fitting issues
Is this gap normal?
Issues with fitting aftermarket parts
I don't understand how aftermarket parts are allowed to be so outside of spec.
Fitment issues with Moog control arms
DO NOT ORDER MOOG CONTROL ARMS.
This needs to be added to the FAQ or something.
02-06 Base = same throughout all years ball joint.
the moogs have fitment for 02-04.
Concerns about Moog's reliability for Toyota parts
All moog parts are now made in China period. Case closed.
Perception of declining quality over time
I run Moog wheel bearings in the front and they have been holding up for quite some time.
Same ones Z1 sales, I’ve had them for a year and no issues.

Discussion about compatibility and materials
Are these poly?
Advice to check sway bar endlinks
Check sway bar endlinks.
Discussion about the gap and its impact on performance
a gap is fine. as long as it’s tight, that bushing will mechanically perform the same function as one that closes.
Debate on greasable vs non-greasable parts
greasable are usually weaker due to the cross drilled holes
They forgot the fucking zerks though.
not one of them was predrilled or even included the grease nipple.

Discussion on choosing brands for quality over price
I don’t really shop brand names but look for quality amongst certain brands cause every brand name will have their flaws.
Comparison with ACDelco and other brands
Acdelco makes a lot of genuine/OEM parts I used to see that brand all the time when I worked at a shop.
Discussion about the benefits of aftermarket vs OEM parts
the rust scares me, lol.
OEM is the more expensive - aftermarket are the cheaper alternatives to it, but might be wrong.
i always say buy new but if the pocket cant handle it, a shop isnt a terrible idea.
Mention of Moog products being cost-effective alternatives
A Moog lower control arm, loaded with bushings and ball joint is about $68 at RockAuto.com.
Discussion on cost comparison between Mazda parts and aftermarket
Sway bar bushings are like $2 from Mazda I just buy from them and not worry about aftermarket parts quality.
Discussion on installation challenges with aftermarket parts
Moog lower control arm pivots into frame - suggestions?
That it was apparently designed this way doesn't instill much confidence.
Discussion about price and value of OEM vs aftermarket parts
Thoughts? Dorman control arm bushings junk? Or decent?
Comparing Moog to other suspension part brands
They'll all wear out pretty quick, especially if you're taking the car on track or have rough roads where you live.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about previous reputation of Moog products
Damn that’s crazy. I got moog because of all the Reddit comments on other posts I saw while researching.
Discussion about Moog's reputation
I’d get the mevotech just because it’s greasable.
Comments on the difficulty of replacing bushings without proper tools
Without a press it’s very difficult to press them in straight.
Mention of problems with standard Mazda 3 bushings
Get OEM or poly.
Discussion on the effectiveness of aftermarket parts
OEM over MOOG every day and twice on Sunday.
Anyone have any good experiences trying to return/warranty their stuff?
Differences in quality among brands
What is the difference between these brands, and should I get greasable or non-greasable parts?
I prefer the moog only because I would get the price on it...but would go with one that has the best combination of price and warranty.
Discussion on country of origin affecting quality perception
might it have something to do with country of origin?
I suppose that doesn’t mean that every last part of them is American or Japanese made.
Comments on the manufacturing changes of Moog parts
All Moog parts are made in China.
