Snoop's Take

La Roche-Posay Anthelios UV Correct Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 70 is an advanced daily moisturizer designed specifically for the face, offering broad-spectrum sun protection while addressing common signs of aging. Formulated with niacinamide and antioxidants, it aims to hydrate, even skin tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and rough texture without leaving a white cast. Consumer feedback reveals a mix of experiences with this product. Many users appreciate its hydrating properties and the fact that it does not leave a white cast, with one user stating, "I like Hydrating Cream because my skin is dry, no white cast and doesn’t bother my eyes." However, some have criticized the anti-shine formula for causing a dry texture and pilling, noting that it can cover the face in a "weird dry texture." Overall, despite some negative feedback regarding its anti-shine performance, La Roche-Posay Anthelios UV Correct Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 70 is generally recommended for its hydrating benefits and effective sun protection, making it a worthy choice in the sunscreen category.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Differences in texture and cosmetic appeal of kids vs adult sunscreens
Is there actually a difference between Kids face sunscreen and adults face sunscreen? Apart from it being 3x the price?
they are often the exact same, suggesting that it’s solely a marketing difference.
the term “kids” is only a marketing term and doesn’t guarantee a mineral sunscreen.
the best one is the one you'll use.
Discussion on sunscreen fragrance and odor
do you mean no added fragrance, or no smell at all? Like, does it have that horrible sunscreen smell?
Regional formulation and ingredient differences
They have different formula.
I wish they make would make the differences between their sunscreens a little more clear because it can be so confusing.
it’s not a mineral sunscreen, it’s chemical from what i can tell.
There are different ingredients due to our stupid regulations.
No eye irritation reported
It’s the only one I’ve tried that actually doesn’t burn my eyes like crazy, goes on nicely, works with my make up.
I did not get burned, or even noticed a tan afterwards.
Have never had an issue with it getting into my eyes and stinging.
High UVA protection and long wear
this is the only thing I feel comfortable relying on while still maintaining decent cosmetic elegance.
Generous application needed
Do you find that the Ultra Light you have to apply a lot to get the required coverage and that you go thru the bottle quickly?
I do apply quite a bit, also down to my neck.
Varied texture and lightness among different formulas
Love the middle one, the other two feel very heavy on my skin.
Good stuff. B seems like the best.
Favorable spray formulation attributes (unscented, water‐resistant, no white cast, light texture)
I'm glad I did because it's super light, and very comfortable to wear on the face and body this is going to be perfect for summer when it is super hot and humid and I'm a sweater.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Acceptability of using body or kids sunscreen for face
Is it all just a marketing thing or are there genuine reasons why the face only screens are much more costly?
It’s marketing, totally fine to use body sunscreen and children sunscreen as long as you’re ok with the texture.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
SPF‑rated hats are recommended as an alternative form of sun protection
I really recommend an SPF hat in addition.
Can you please explain what you mean by SPF hat?
You don’t want a burnt head but you also don’t want to deal with sunscreen in their hair 🙈.
Baby sun protection alternatives and recommendations
What sun creams would you recommend? Any tried and tested?
I'd take that over baby getting burnt so obviously if being in the shade isn't possible 100% I'd rather use suncream.
Would much rather risking a bit of a rash than permanent skin damage.
The mineral based creams e g. Zinc Oxide based are better.
Sunscreen review comparisons and PPD ratings discussion
This is so fabulous! Thank you so much for not only compiling the list, but also collecting reviews!
If you have oily skin or prefer your sunscreens to be nothing short of *unquestionably* matte, I think this would be a great try for you.
What exactly is “PPD 16+” ?
Dermo-Pediatrics line having PPD of 26/27 feels disappointing 🙄
Regional availability challenges for La Roche UVMune products
I'm trying to stock up for summer.
I don't think they're even available where I live (Spain) as of yet, so no clue.
Yeah, I only see it on the La Roche Posey UK website.
I think the UK will probably have them on the shelves first because the LRP UK site has them listed as 'in stock'.
Price and value concerns
I find it ridiculous, how expensive sunscreen sometimes is?
$30 for two bottles was an amazing deal.
Alternative affordable sunscreen options mentioned
It’s not an upmarket brand but garnier do a 50+ sunscreen that is one of the few that doesn’t break me out and it is not fragranced.
Yes, the Eucerin Oil Control recently became my favourite everyday sunscreen.
Water/sweat resistance inquiries
I am going to stock up on this stuff for the summer.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Debate over UVA protection claims and EWG interpretations
I figured I'd post about my experience here to hopefully help other people struggling to find a good sunscreen.
The EWG is a very biased source.
Would you say the claims about UVA protection and SPF accuracy are correct, or also based on poor interpretations of the science?
But to what other actives did they compare this.
White cast and texture issues
I did find it a tad greasy and left a slight white cast (about Fitzpatrick's Skin Type III/IV) but it's not very noticeable.
The White cast was worse on my face, I had to wash it off.
I looked like a fuckig clown hahahah.
This was an eye opener.
Mixed performance and consistency feedback
I don’t understand the hype around this sunscreen.
this stuff doesn't work at all, it makes the situation 10x worse for me.
Stinging and eye irritation
I liked it but it stung my eyes so bad 😭
Stung my eyes *and* stung my face.
Breakouts and skin reactions
Broke me out - it gave me big cyst-like pimples and I don’t normally get those.
Texture issues with anti‐shine formula (pilling and abrasive feel)
I can feel very very tiny abrasive particles which is kinda off-putting.
Eek what a mess!
High alcohol content in Ultra Light formula raises concerns
Ultra Light- my favourite of the 3.
The Ultra Light Fluid is the nicest to wear in my opinion.
No breakouts or stinging observed in usage
None of these products caused any breakouts or stinging around eyes.
