I think as long as it’s not a fixation or the only thing they do with their toys, it’s considered normal.
It’s super normal.
If there's nothing else going on that suggests autism to you, I wouldn't give it another thought...other than enjoying the creations!
O‐ball toys are a favorite for developing grasp and motor skills
it’s perfect for their tiny hands to hold, and soft enough it doesn’t hurt when they hit themselves with it!

the best part about these brands: they're huge on influencers and the latest Montessori, etc. style.
Haba, Hape, Plan Toys, GreenToys, and I’ve loved two shops on Etsy.
Highly recommend. I don't need to buy anything else, high quality toys curated to the development stage show up every few months.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Minimalist and multi‐use toy collections for toddlers
Think these 'somethings' meet most toddler needs and support development by providing physical (fine and gross motor,) emotional and intellectual opportunities.
This is super awesome as a framework.
I love this list rather than just a list of specific toys!
it’s been the best thing ever.
Dog emotional behavior and toy sharing observations
the amount of dogs that answer the door with their owner, wander off then come back to show me their favourite toy is so cute!
The dog on the right actually looked like it was getting emotional when giving the toy.
This means I love you in dog language . The bringing of the toy is love.
He looked like he was trembling with excitement.

Wooden toys cleaning and maintenance tips
I'm just trying to educate myself on what's safe/not safe.
I personally like to use a cloth that has a bit of water/vinegar and wipe it down.
If you're really concerned with cleaning stuff, this could pair well with putting things in the sun.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Approaches to discussing recalled baby toys
I mean if a waiter came up to me and told me something my baby had was unsafe I think I’d have a weird feeling about it.
Any momentary embarrassment would be worth saving my baby’s life.
But when it’s a safety hazard, I’d have to tell.
I’d just be blunt but gentle.
Gun safety and weapon imagery discussions in toy-related posts
Holy crap didn't even register that that was in the background, with the fucking battery in it!!
On a lighter note, 9yo brother thought that guns were all disposable cuz he only ever learned from watching tv and movies, he thought you buy one then when it runs out of ammo that you toss it and buy another.
Lol keeps em busy atleast
But his idea of teaching gun safety was “keep the barrel pointed at the ground and your finger off the trigger, and don’t point a gun at anything you don’t want dead”.
