Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on bedding material preferences
I feel like I am suffocating in cotton bedding but depends on your body and environment.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion on alternative cooling methods for sleeping
the most magical thing you can do is too sleep with an ice baby.
I'll add one idea, but it's expensive: the chili pad (official) or you can reverse engineer / diy one for less expensive.
Discussion on blanket storage solutions
What Do I Do With All of My Blankets???? I need serious help.
You could get those vacuum sealing storage bags to store under your bed, even if it’s a tight fit.
You could fold them Marie Kondo style and use them as throw pillows.
I keep them in a suitcase in my closet.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

Discussion on baby blanket sizes and preferences
What should the size of baby blanket be?? I’m making a baby blanket for my friend and I’m so confused about the size.
the size of the baby blanket is determined by the amount of yarn in my possession, the length of my patience, how long ago the baby was born and therefore how not-baby the baby is at this point.
I guess the size wouldn’t matter to much?
I tend to lean to the 'car seat blanket' (20" by 25") and often make a lovey (12" by 12" generally) to go with it.
Discussion on toddler sleep habits and blanket use
I guess the take away is that I’m not a terrible dad for leaving my son blanketless to sleep.
At 2.5 he’s old enough to pull the blanket back over himself if he’s cold.
Unless he's waking up he's fine.
My 2 year kicks her blankets off constantly but it doesn't seem to bother her so we just leave her now.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Skepticism about cooling blankets' effectiveness
I think there are no blankets besides actually electronically cooled blankets that will actually cool you, and all blankets will trap heat to some extent, even if they feel cool.
If your body temperature went down by 10 degrees under *any circumstances,* you’d be dead or very nearly so.
The 10 degrees claim sounds like B.S. to me, but a decent cooling blanket or pillow case might help you.
Concerns about finding good quality sheets
I just want comfortable sheets that cost for $100 or less that don’t feel like a scam.
It feels like the latest big industry scam that no one is talking about.
Concerns about blanket safety for young children
I’m flirting with the idea of letting her sleep with a blanket.
Remember that these things are never problems until they suddenly are, and it only takes once.
I can see why people wouldn't take the risk though.
I'd prefer to not have her use a blanket for another year at least.
Discussion about blanket safety for young children
Now I can't sleep because I'm paranoid she'll die.
The pathological fear of blankets is mostly a US thing.
I personally think 7 months is a bit too risky to be using a blanket.
It's worth it to peel one more worry off your head.
