Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on the transition from neoprene to silicone tank covers
What happened to tsnk covers?! When/Why did all the companies stop selling neoprene tank covers and swap over to these silicom boots?
Silicone ones offer similar protection, allow for more interesting designs and colors while also being cheaper to make.
U could do all kinds of crap with silicon, but all they put out is these boring boots
Yea, but a lot of tanks have neat designs now.
Discussion about the general utility of tank covers
A tank cover is a tank cover. I think a lot of people overthink what cover to get, when as long as it protects the tank from impacts or scratches, any cover should be good to go.
Discussion about temperature monitor experiences
Don’t be a moron like me and get complacent - faulty equipment can kill your lovely fish.
Everyone who can afford $33 should buy an Inkbird or similar temperature monitor.
I use 2 Fluval T series heaters for my 90gal, both have a thermometer, and they are both hooked up to a thermometer controller switch.
Omg thank you for this! I spent yesterday dunking meat thermometers into water to compare with my tank thermometers because one of them wasn’t reading properly and I was trying to figure out which one 😂 this would have been so much easier.
Discussion on effectiveness of tank covers
Are water tank covers effective? Wondering do these water tank covers provide any relief from scorching hot water in taps?
Will help somewhat. Dont expect a drastic change. Maybe from boiling hot to hot.
Thanks. Looking for some inexpensive solution.
Invest in RCC tank if you can

Reasons for moving away from full covers include cost, preference, and ease of cleaning
I think Part of it was being cheap, personal preference, and the ability to wipe tank hits more easily.

Those look really nice, and I'll probably get one, but it's hard to believe the going rate is $50.
I picked one of the 33’s it’s way better built than the hk.
Discussion on the decline of neoprene tank covers
no more neoprene tank covers? I mean. I get it. I’m old.
I prefer the grip on my shoulder of a tank cover.
I prefer rubber covers for max grip.
Discussion about frustrations with installing tank covers.
Once they are on, they aren't going anywhere.
I didn't have any issues , i just turned it inside out and slid it over.
... I just tape my tanks.
