What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Delta has a good warranty
Delta is a solid brand and has a good warranty.
Delta you will be on hold for 30 mins and they want a receipt and blood sample of who you bought it from to claim it under warranty.
Easy to find parts for repairs
Contractors will recommend because it is easy to find parts for and not an expensive repair.
DIY-friendly for fixing issues
It’s very DIY-friendly to fix if there’s an issue, and everyone has the cartridge.
Reliable choice among contractors
they would rather lose work than use a shitty product that breaks after 6 months and then they get shit reviews.
Positive reviews on Amazon
I think you made a great choice with the Delta as compared to the other Chinese brands on Amazon since Delta has a pretty good warranty.
if the ShieldSpray works as well as advertised, it could be rather nice.
Easy to install once lines are positioned correctly
It's really driving me nuts, as this is the only thing keeping from getting the job done.
Once I did that, it was really easy. Works great, no leaks, solid mounting.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
High cost of tub fillers
The tub and tub filler were the biggest cost surprises.
Difficulty in mounting due to bracket fit
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, and it's quite frustrating.
Installation issues with faucet threads
What are we doing wrong?? Help please? Installing a ‘signature hardware’ bath faucet.
Those dont look like NPT threads (thats what those drop ears take).
That's a lavatory faucet, not a tub filler.
Don't buy garbage wayfair shit. Wayfair shit is garbage.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion about the quality difference between retail and plumbing store faucets
But why is it every plumber I've ever heard of recommends the plumbing store because they have more metal parts?
I think you will feel the difference in the weight.
Generally I have no real issue installing customer supplied fixtures, but I’m upfront and relay this exact thing to the client.
Retail will have plastic pop up’s Wholesaler’s will have metal.
Discussion about model number consistency and part quality
This is what I was looking to confirm.
General commentary on plumbing products from home stores
I like Delta but not that home store shit.
this is true of many things plumbing like water heaters and garbage disposals.
Discussion on faucet materials and quality differences
I guess just tossing it out to the internet to ask if there really is a difference is not the best, but at least you guys don't theoretically have a vested interest in what I buy one way or the other.
If you aren't sure whether a fitting is solid brass, pick it up. It should feel heavier than other units.
A homeowner would never notice the difference. But the plumber does.

Discussion about potential installation issues
Have you tried running COLD water for a while to see if it goes down?
If it lasts more than 4 hours, consult a plumber.
They didn't install the soap / lube dispenser to give the job a happy ending.
That a Deltah from Temu?
Discussion about installation concerns and costs
Are these faucets really that costly?
just get a cheaper one in file or brass, no one will notice that it's slightly different from everything else.
it did not match😩
Discussion on plumbing fitting types and compatibility
I'd bet there's a set of swivel "ears" that are needed.
are there perhaps missing adapter fittings that they must use to adapt the fittings to one another?
That valve is made to connect to exposed supply risers with a gasket/compression seal.
I have plumbed an entire house using those cinch crimps and never had an issue, and that is after 10 years.
Discussion about faucet brand recommendations
**Update: We ended up buying a Moen faucet and love it so far.**
Discussion about the types of faucets suitable for different uses
They are very industrial looking and I have yet to see one with a single handle.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about AI-generated images in faucet reviews
Lmao, priceless.
Discussion on contractor recommendations despite bad reviews
Why do contractors recommend Delta / Moen / Kohler despite all the bad reviews?
General comments on plumber preferences and experiences
I do test fits all the time, so I can fix shit before I go finish everything.
Would the compression rings be better? Genuine question.
I've never had a problem but I've heard of a couple instances that have.
Discussion on quality differences between big box stores and plumbing supply
if a model number for a Delta or Moen is the same at a plumbing supply as it is at hd/lowes etc, will the parts be different?
I needed a solidly built, simple kitchen faucet for my grandma... All the big box stores only sold ones with plastic parts which she didn't want.
Pay attention to the suffix after the model, I have seen identical faucets sold at Home Depot and Ferguson, but the Home Depot one came with a plastic pop up drain and Ferguson's model had a brass one.
You get what you pay for.
Discussion about differences in faucet quality between big box and plumbing supply stores
If that's the case, why do the Moen and Delta corporate websites direct you to Home Depot, Lowes, etc. when you hit the 'Where to Buy' button.
I've looked at the 'best' of the residential versions, and it looks like cheap cosplay.
Delta and Moen tend to be pretty good regardless.
The 'homeowner' grade faucet you get from HD generally lower grade materials.
