Snoop's Take

The CJRCWKIQ Antique Copper 360 Swivel Chrome Brass Finish Deck Mounted Stream Spout Tap is a stylish and functional kitchen faucet designed for both hot and cold water use. With its single handle and ceramic valve core, it provides a modern touch to any kitchen renovation while ensuring a reliable water flow. Consumer feedback reveals a mix of satisfaction and frustration with this faucet. Many users appreciate its high stream for effective water flow, stating, "I like it because of the high stream," and praise its quality, with one noting, "It looks amazing. Exactly what we were looking for with our kitchen reno." However, there are significant concerns regarding maintenance, with several complaints about mineral buildup, insufficient water pressure for cleaning, and reliability issues with the touchless functionality. Overall, while the CJRCWKIQ faucet boasts attractive design and quality materials, potential buyers should weigh the pros and cons carefully, particularly regarding maintenance challenges. It may be a good choice for those prioritizing aesthetics, but users looking for low-maintenance options might consider alternatives.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
High stream for effective water flow
I like it because of the high stream.
Great quality faucet
they're also heavy, real metal, made in the US and have a lot of great reviews. They feel great to use.
It looks amazing. Exactly what we were looking for with our kitchen reno.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Mineral buildup and difficult to clean
The faucet gets all mineralized, and splashes water everywhere.
I hate ours, mineralizes all over.
It was all gunked up and mineralized and just didn’t look clean.
The stream is terrible for actually cleaning your hands when they’re dirty at all.
Insufficient water pressure for cleaning
Sometimes I want water pressure! Particularly rinsing off a tooth brush.
Frequent issues with touchless faucet functionality
What most annoyed me, apart from the cost, was when the controller doesn’t work, there is no manual way of operating it.
Cannot stress enough. Mine won't even work with everything disconnected.
Touchless faucets can lead to unexpected water flow
A huge pain. Perhaps just mine lol…
When an automatic thing fails, it always fails in the worst possible way.
Increased maintenance with touchless faucets
Makes me wonder if it is designed so that the batteries are constantly used a little to keep it closed.
Unless you’re spending $500+, you’re throwing money away.
Frustration with faucet quality and longevity
I'd like one that's going to be built to last for at least 5 to 10 years before I have any issues.
Moen is contractor grade 'low quality' 'junk' that satisfies the budget conscious consumer, and doesn't last.
Perception of decreased quality in well-known brands
There used to be a difference between big box store Moens and supply house Moens but generally, not any more.
Faucet trickles water despite knobs being open
the faucet just trickles out water no matter how you turn the knobs.
Low flow aerator causing issues
It may also just be a low flow aerator. It pisses off all the residents, though.
Potential for clogged supply lines
Also check the supply lines as they too can get gummed up.
Worn out hot/cold cartridges may cause problems
Or, you can just replace the whole damn thing too. New stuff (usually) works pretty well*.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion about various brass faucet options
The only ones that seem to be high quality are 2k+.
Because it was an artisanal fabrication, there was no QA process nor certification so you couldn't be sure of the composition or quality of what you get.
Discussion about various faucet brands and quality
**Update: We ended up buying a Moen faucet and love it so far.**
Discussion about OCD related to faucet usage
The checking becomes maddening. The anxiety combined with the exertion of checking over and over is terrible.
Yeah, OCD is hard, but you can beat it for sure.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
DIY faucet replacement is easy
If you are a competent DIYer (or willing to learn), you can replace a faucet in 15 minutes with a couple of tools you already have.
you could probably use it for a weekend and if you really hated it, take it out and just return it.

Discussion about faucet quality differences between retail and plumbing supply
But why is it every plumber I've ever heard of recommends the plumbing store because they have more metal parts?
Here is the real reason I recommend buying your faucet from me and I buy it from the supply house; if I buy it and install it I give you a no questions asked warranty for 2 years.
Generally I have no real issue installing customer supplied fixtures, but I’m upfront and relay this exact thing to the client.
Retail will have plastic pop up’s Wholesaler’s will have metal.
Cleaning challenges with brass faucets
But, if you someone wanted to clean them, could you use Bar Keeper's Friend and not damage the finish?
Yes... you can definitely use Bar Keeper's Friend, but in our case we would need to be very careful because our countertops are marble.
Preference for traditional faucets over touchless models
Now it's replaced many with a standard faucet.
Discussion about warranties and their effectiveness
They replaced the bathroom faucet I had that came with the house. No hassle.
Every Delta faucet / shower head etc I have purchased over 20 years has been a problem.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concern about faucet spitting water with air in the line
The thing about it spitting water out at you if there's air in the line made me hesitant but I feel like this addresses that too.
Experiences with false activations in touchless faucets
It usually gives them a startle which is pretty funny. But it's SO nice when you have raw meat stuff all over your hands from cutting stuff up and you don't need to touch the handle to wash your hands.
Concerns about quality differences between retail and plumbing supply faucets
a plumber once told me that a lot of the supposedly reputable brands make lesser quality products for big box stores like the Home Depot.
Does the warranty cover paying a plumber Again?
