Effective for diaper rash relief
What do we think?
the ONLY thing that worked after trying everything under the sun and in every corner of the internet for a year+
Diaper cream also works great if you are a cyclist and get rashes from too much saddle time, and can help calm small saddle sores.
A little goes a long way
A little goes a LONG way. I pile it on at night and always give myself a little fright when I see my reflection in the morning
Effective for preventing diaper rash
No baby powder!
Using it every change I don’t think is necessary but definitely more often than not (always after a poo diaper), always before putting her down for the night, and throughout the day but not every single change if that makes sense lol.
Works well for various skin irritations
Vaseline!!!! We lather our kiddo up with it at night especially and it helps with no diaper rash.
Helps quickly reduce diaper rash
I obviously put on diaper cream that was next to her changing station lol.
Guess it’s not a big deal but why let your baby suffer for an unnecessary amount of time when the diaper cream helps so much and gets rid of rashes quickly.
Works well for diaper rash relief
If I notice my baby getting a rash I will air dry the bum and just put a heavy coating on and then in the morning it’s usually all cleared up!

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion about using Balmex with cloth diapers
Whenever she's in a disposable... she gets bright red baboon butt.
You can use zinc oxide with cloth diapers. It will very likely stain, however it should not affect the performance of the diaper.
I was hoping to make use of stuff I already had from last (non-cloth-diapered) baby.
I use Burt's Bees diaper cream which is beeswax based and never have had an issue.

Discussion on diaper cream frequency of use
No diaper rash yet but I've been applying rash cream at each change.
Baby powder isn’t really necessary for anything.
Discussion about diaper care routines
I’m so glad parents have spaces like this.
100% second the peri bottle. My daughter was super prone to awful rashes and this was the only way to clean her without irritating the rash.
We used a nonused condiment squirt bottle... use whatever that can shoot straight.

Cautionary Callouts

Discussion about different diaper creams used
It works great for us- but it’s a little on the pricy side! Does anyone have a cream that they swear by?
Use it for my face at night- “slugging” as well. Had it for a year now and not halfway through it- last a long time!
I love aquaphor just make sure your babies butt is all aired out before you put it on.
We gently pat her down with a face tissue making sure to get all nooks and crannies before applying a thick layer of Vaseline and rashes have been at bay for months.
Concerns about baby powder safety
No baby powder, it’s been linked to cervical cancer and can be harmful if inhaled, I put lotion on her booty just after a bath, and a barrier cream type diaper rash cream is good at preventing rashes-it’s usually the pasty white creams
Only if it's talc based. There's corn starch based ones that are ok. That said, I have used mine maybe 3 times.
Baby powder is just fine if it's cornstarch based and you're not poofing it in their face
