Snoop's Take

The BabyBond Baby Bassinet Bedside Crib is a versatile 3-in-1 sleeper designed for new parents, offering a safe and comfortable space for newborns. Consumers appreciate its spacious design and convenient features, with one user noting, "It’s bigger than most bassinets so it’ll last longer," while others highlight the adjustable height and mesh sides that enhance nighttime accessibility and airflow. Despite some concerns regarding safety certification in Canada and the suitability for larger babies, the bassinet is generally recommended for its category, especially for parents seeking flexibility and ease during nighttime care.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Spacious design for longer use
It’s bigger than most bassinets so it’ll last longer.
Convenient for nighttime feedings
They seem convenient for middle of the night care especially if you have a c section.
Just roll over, whip out a tiddy, boom done.
I love that I can adjust the height right up to my bed, and swivel it around as needed.
Adjustable height for better fit
this time we have bought a bedside one with adjustable height and a zip down side for ease of access.
Convenience of drop-down side for easy access
It also had a drop down side which was awesome for my first as I’d had a cesarean.
Mesh sides for visibility and airflow
I like the mesh sides as I can see him through them and if he wriggles to the side he's not going to smother himself.
I think the best part about it was the mesh sides because we had a wiggly baby that got her face smooshed into the side right away.

Concerns about safety certification in Canada
Just because it’s on Amazon.ca, it doesn’t mean that it’s considered safe per Canada’s high standards.
You won’t find a bassinet with a fold down side at any reputable Canadian store, which to me means that they don’t pass Canada’s safe sleep requirements.
Apparently the co-sleeper bassinets are not considered safe for sleep.
I received an email from Amazon that the bassinet I purchased had been recalled.
Fold-down side may not be safe for sleep
I’m not planning on using the fold down side while I’M sleeping.
Bassinets may not be suitable for all babies
I think all babies hate bassinets lol.
Limited duration of use for larger babies
A bassinet will very likely not work for 6 months, and if you have a large baby... s/he might grow out of it within a month or two.
I'm glad we didn't shell out for something expensive that didn't last long.
he outgrew the bassinet by about a month and a half lol.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Pack and plays can be used as a bassinet alternative
you’ll be a traditional pack and play as they get older so it will last and be worth the money.
we decided against spending $100+ (or $400!) on a dedicated contraption that baby outgrows in like 3 months.
Both worked well and were sturdy.
New parents share panic buys during early parenthood
the stupid egg light - just get it, everyone on TikTok is correct lol
i literally made 72 baby washclothes while I was pregnant for burp clothes etc - my husband laughed at me - and now we barely have enough!!
New parents share experiences of panic buying
I liked the newton bassinet because it gives me ease that they’re known for their breathability.

Users are considering alternatives to the BabyBond bassinet
I would highly recommend a bedside bassinet for breast feeding. You and the baby will get so much more sleep because of it!
It's possible your baby may not like one and it's such a pain to pay that much for something your baby hates.
You don't really need a bassinet.
Any of the bassinets we saw in person seemed really flimsy and unstable to me.
Desire for Canadian certified products
I want to get something certified with Canadian standards.
So, to me, this reads as being approved in the USA and a big ol who knows for Canada.
Transitioning from bassinet to pack n play is common
Getting something solid was all that was needed.
Frugality and mindful purchasing are common among new parents
Haha we’re also frugal! Buying the minimum necessary stuff, and the ones we did we didn’t overspend.
We looooved our babybay. 💓
New parents discuss the transition from bassinet to independent sleeping arrangements
Realistically we probably should have stopped using it when she was 4 months, but we were hesitant to move her into her own room.
Comparison of bassinet types
I’m hoping having them right next to me will make it easier for me to keep them down.
Preference for secondhand purchases over new bassinets
I personally wouldn’t spend on anything new and go secondhand instead.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Safety is a primary concern for new parents
with a baby safety is the biggest concern!
I would love your bassinet input!
my main concern is safety and a lot of the reviews I read on various bassinets mention they are either flimsy or wobbly.
Concerns over Amazon's product safety standards
Amazon is a third party retailer so it isn’t reliable.
Concerns about safety standards in Canada
Breathable mattresses are a marketing ploy.
Concerns about the longevity of bassinets compared to other options
A graco pack and play--SO much more longevity than a bassinet.
Oh absolutely! I could never personally justify buying a bassinet, they just seem so short-lived and I'm too frugal haha.
Varied baby preferences impact bassinet effectiveness
We’re planning on at least two, probably three so we’ll be getting our moneys worth outta it!
