Snoop's Take

The AUXMART Winch Roller Guide Fairlead is designed to enhance the performance and longevity of your winching system. This robust guide features a 4-way roller design that effectively manages wire rope, reducing wear and tear, particularly during high-angle pulls. Consumer feedback highlights the ease of installation with standard mounting holes, with one user noting that "it fit perfectly in my setup." Many users appreciate its durable construction from high-strength steel, stating that it appears capable of handling moderate use without issues. However, some concerns about performance under extreme conditions have been raised, with a user cautioning that it may not hold up under heavy loads. Overall, while the AUXMART Winch Roller Guide Fairlead is well-regarded for its reliable performance in everyday scenarios, potential buyers should consider their specific needs, especially if they anticipate using it under extreme conditions. It is generally recommended for moderate use and standard applications.

Worst case scenario it would blow the fuse I stuck between it and the battery, best case it would work as advertised.

Positive Feedback

It will just do the job but it won't go much beyond that or for long.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Works as advertised
Worst case scenario it would blow the fuse I stuck between it and the battery, best case it would work as advertised.
the fairlead seems to be scraping the rope (see the fuzzies?).
Don't listen to anyone else saying to get rollers with a synthetic rope.
Easy installation with standard mounting holes
my experience with 'the cheaper option' gear like this is that it'll work fine, you just won't 'get away with things'.
Can this be used as a winch mounting plate?
If you use it as is it looks like the cable would be 100% rubbing all the time which is not good.
Works as expected in moderate use
I have that one and have no complaints.
for 370$ on special from the 4x4 super centre it’s a killer and defiantly saved me.
Durable construction with high-strength steel
Looks fine to me. Doesn't look like it will rub to me and even if it does there are no sharp edges for the line to cut itself on.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
May not perform well in extreme conditions
It will just do the job but it won't go much beyond that or for long.
May not hold up under extreme force
That looks really thin for a winch plate you will want at least 0.25 plate for a winch of that size that simply wont hold up it any kind of force.
It will break when put under full load and could damage the winch and anything around it.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion about fairlead compatibility with synthetic ropes
I did order a different fairlead that looks very round and polished, just in case.
Mention of different fairlead types
Never saw that before.
Discussion about winch duty cycles and their implications
I’m mostly joking, I’ve seen reviews and I think adequate is the right word.
Cheap winches work fine but often have a low duty cycle so just read the manual.
If you over work a winch then HOPEFULLY it has a thermal cut out but if it doesn’t you’ll burn up the motor windings.
Comments on the use and compatibility of different winch ropes
You’ll be aight they work just fine.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Users discuss alternative setups with straps and rollers.
it is the absolute shit. But the one will never ever break.
I think you’ll like this setup.
Splicing synthetic line is easy
I believe a good shop can splice it back together as strong as before.
You can do it yourself if you’ve got the time and patience to learn.
Learn how to splice synthetic line (it’s super easy) and keep a splicing kit in your recovery gear.
Just tie it back together.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Inquiry about bumper compatibility
What’s the front bumper your running?
Users discuss servicing winches before installation
Apparently doing this with good quality grease really helps get more life out of them.
Discussion about using spacers or modifications for optimal fit
I assume the fairlead should be mounted as close to the winch as possible?

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Many fairleads are incompatible with steel cables.
Anyone know why these fairleads are "For synthetic rope only"?
The steel cable can grind and chew the metal of the fair lead which makes it hard to pull out.
Yah a lot of fair leads are aluminum, steel rope doesnt play nice.
They don’t want them used with steel or braided cable.
Many users have had issues with synthetic ropes fraying.
it frayed the crap out of the rope after pretty light use for one season.
Users discuss synthetic line limitations
I snapped my winchline pulling myself out of late season snow.
12mm dyneema line should do. It does the job for my 3.5T patrol with 6T winch.
The biggest thing with dyneema is it can't take shock loads.
Concerns about engine power affecting winch performance
They are awesome until you have no engine power to run it.
General concerns about safety when using winches
Just mount it safely and take some training on using a winch as they can kill or maim.
